Ash and Daniel are the same person
Ash put down his camera. His eyes lifted from the photographs to his model sitting on the wooden stool set on the platform. Ziel felt Daniel’s cold, lingering gaze on him, causing him to shiver.
“Do you really mean that?” Daniel said, his voice hoarse.
Footsteps seemed to echo as Daniel slowly walked towards Raziel, who, in turn, heaved a shaky breath with every step he [Daniel] took. There was a long, wooden table behind Raziel and on that table lay a sharp carving tool.
The distance between them shortened as Daniel started to close in on Raziel, leaving almost no space between their bodies. The brown, leathery apron touched Raziel’s chest. Long, dark silhouettes seemed to sway with the curtains as the wind seeped and blew through the slightly opened window. A person walking by outside would quickly misunderstand the situation upon seeing two figures so close to each other.
Daniel reached both his hands behind Raziel to pin him between the table and himself. With his right hand, he picked up the sharp tool on the table and pointed it at Raziel’s nape. The cold, sharp sensation of the blade made Raziel flinch. His surprise caused him to drag his face closer to the person in front of him. The space between their faces was lesser than five inches. Their noses almost touched.
Raziel tried to retreat but the blade almost dug into his skin.
“Do you know what’s going to happen,” Daniel blew Raziel’s eyelashes which fluttered in response, “if you back away?”
Ziel felt Daniel’s hot breath on his lips as he spoke. Whether it was forced by the sharp weapon slowly breaking his skin or not, he is not sure himself, he closed the space between his and Daniel’s lips.
