Sookie goes to the little hotel. When she enters the reception, she puts her sunglasses on her head. 'You're not working today,' Alexei says in Greek. 'I know,' Sookie answers. 'The Swede is on the beach,' Maria says entering the lobby. 'He asked me to tell you,' Maria continues in English. 'No dating costumers,' Alexei says. 'You are the one to speak,' Sookie says. Her father once was a costumer. 'Fine, have fun,' Alexei says switching to Greek.
Sookie smiles and goes outside to the beach. She sees the young tall man standing with his feet in the sea, holding his shoes. 'Watch out for the jellyfish,' Sookie says. Erik turns around, surprised. 'I'm serious, I once got stung on my foot. My brother peed on it,' Sookie says. 'My god, really?' Erik asks stepping out of the water. 'Yes, I was 6,' Sookie says. Her foot hurts when she thinks about it. 'I don't know what to say,' Erik says. 'Me neither,' Sookie laughs. Erik chuckles.
'So you come here often then?' Erik asks as they begin to walk away from te waves. 'My father is Greek, my mother American,' Sookie says. 'I grew up in America, but in the summer holidays we would come here.' Erik asks more about her family and Sookie ends up explaining everything. 'Wow,' is the only thing Erik says.
'What about you?' Sookie asks as they enter a little local shop. 'My parents are rich, never were home when I was a kid. They don't care about my live, what I do, so I started to travel instead of studying.' 'So you came from England to Greece?' 'How did you know that?' Erik asks in disbelieve. 'You have a dictionary English-Greek,' Sookie says looking at some bags. 'Oh, right,' Erik says. 'So, where did you travel?' 'From Sweden to Norway to the Netherlands to Belgium to France to Spain to Portugal to Morocco to Egypt to England to Scotland back to England to Greece. And now I'm thinking about Italy next.' 'Wow, you are rich,' Sookie laughs.
They talk, they laugh, they grab a drink, they grab a bite. And before they know it, it's almost midnight. 'I have to work tomorrow,' Sookie says looking at Erik's watch to see the time. 'Oh,' Erik says a little disappointed. It's silent for a while. 'When is your next time off?' Erik asks. 'Tommorow night,' Sookie says with a little smile. Erik smiles. 'I like you,' he says. 'Already?' Sookie says. 'You are very hard not to like,' Erik says with a little blush. 'Apparently,' Sookie says and gets up.
She wipes the sand from her dress and looks at Erik. 'Are you going to sleep on the beach?' 'That's a wonderful idea,' Erik says and lies down. 'Okay, good night then,' Sookie says and starts walking away. 'Godnatt min kärlek,' Erik says. 'I don't know what that means,' Sookie says to him from a distant. 'Maybe you should buy a dictionary!' Erik shouts jokingly.
