I walked beside Bradley in a park just a few minutes from the coffee shop, surrounded by the coolness of fall and the bright colours it brought with it. I couldn't help but to smile as I looked around at how the leaves of the trees had changed into different colours. Some were orange, others yellow, and a few red.
"Fall is so beautiful," I told him. He looked over at me and smiled.
"It really is. But when it's cold, it's hard to admire the beauty of this season." I nodded my head in agreement with his words as we continued to walk.
Suddenly, a strong wind surrounded us, causing me to pull my jacket closer to my neck, wondering why I hadn't worn a scarf when I knew how cold it would be. And in the corner of my eye, I spotted Bradley removing his scarf and walking closer to me.
I quickly turned around and held out my hands to stop him.
"You don't have to give me your scarf, I'm okay," I told him. And although he smiled, he shook his head.
"You may be okay but I don't like the thought of seeing you cold," he said, wrapping the wool scarf around me. I looked at him, unable to say a word, as he looked back at me.
"Much better," he said with a smile.
