in the back of my mind,

and i just wish i was blind

because it’s like im seeing you

across the street

just a few feet

away from me,

your presence so haunting

yet so hard to flee.

i just want you to leave,

why won’t you let me be free?

those memories, they linger

like shadows in the night

each moment a painful trigger

and a constant inner fight.

it feels like a dagger

thrown into my heart

each memory tearing me apart

you won’t leave, and it won’t stop.

please just leave, it feels like your killing me.
