Mother was going on about how Dad is, I quote, "an ugly, self-absorbed bastard". (I feel I must make it clear that this was not the term 'bastard' from history used for a child of illegitimate marriage, but the more modern version). Mother called herself "educated" and didn't normally curse so impulsively unless she was describing my Dad.
She said that she was trying to cope, but they were starting to get money problems, because of the cost of his drugs and his psychotherapy, and that she didn't mind paying for it, but Dad wasn't using it well, and was just ignoring the classes because he was just selfish and didn't want to.
It's a difficult argument because Dad says that he does not enjoy psychotherapy and knows he is putting the family into debt, and wants to stop the classes, but Mother is forcing him to.
I know it's because their love for eachother has gone to the extremes and come to this, but I don't know how to solve it.
There seems to be no way out of this; all I seem to be able to do is stand by and pray that it'll simply blow off - although I know that it won't be that easy.
