Nothing much happened. At least, not much that was memorable.
Kaito wants to go Trick-or-Treating tonight, and Jacob tries to persuade him otherwise. I decide to give him a hand and explain to Kaito about drugs, about paedophiles and psychopaths and generally very adult stuff that I probably shouldn't have told him about. I don't think he understood half of it, but the darkness was enough to put him off for this year. Jacob looked at me with wide eyes like I had just ruined Kaito's innocence - which I probably just had.
Mother and Dad don't really communicate with me and Kaito so much anymore, so I've had to become a bit of a parental figure for Kaito over the last few months; but I at least have a hand now with Jacob.
I know they have a lot on their minds.
