The next afternoon.
Oscar rang the doorbell of his best friend's house. He shoved his hands inside his jacket pockets to keep them warm. Snow had stopped falling and gray clouds covered the sky giving Martyr Town a gloomy look. The streets and most of the other parts of the neighborhood were wet because of yesterday's rain.
Oscar looked up at the sky. It wasn't raining but looked like it was going to pour down soon.
Someone finally answered the door. It was Amna.
"Hey." She greeted Oscar with a sexy smile.
"Hey." Oscar returned the welcome.
He checked her out. She was wearing a light pink T-shirt with pink pajamas.
"I'm so sorry." Amna said.
"Why?"
"Didn’t know a guest was coming or I'd have changed into something more appropriate." She said blushing. "Abdullah! Oscar's here!"
"Is he acting weird?" Abdullah asked.
Amna examined Oscar from top to bottom. "You mean weirder than normal?" she winked at him.
She's the one acting weirder than normal, Oscar thought.
Amna stepped aside to let Oscar in. He entered the house.
Amna told him that Abdullah was in his bedroom upstairs. He proceeded to his friend's room.
Abdullah's bedroom door was slightly ajar. Oscar opened the door and went inside. His best friend's room was more like a tarot card reader' shop. There were three crystal balls hanging on the walls. Each glittered against the fluorescent glow of the tube lights on the ceiling.
There was a small wooden table with a glass frame on top of it besides Abdullah's bed. Inside the frame were oddly beautiful gemstones with inscriptions on the bottom of each one. On the walls were portraits of famous astrologers as well as one of Mystic Dave. Abdullah was checking something on his desk at the end of the room. He had his back to Oscar.
"You're not gonna run away this time right?" Oscar said.
He saw Abdullah examining the same stone he had brought to the park yesterday.
"Nah." Abdullah placed his magnifying glass on the table.
"Okay dude. I'm gonna prove it to you I haven't gone insane." Oscar slammed the diary on Abdullah's table and took out the knife again.
"Okay man. You're not crazy!" Abdullah exclaimed leaning back in his seat.
"Just look."
Oscar slit the side of his thumb. As usual, drops of blood fell onto the paper then vanished.
"So it's some kind of magic ink?" Abdullah declared.
The blood suddenly reappeared but this time in words. "Good to meet you again, Oscar."
Abdullah's eyes opened wide.
"That is so cool. Did Apple invent it? Abdullah asked astonishingly.
Oscar shook his head. He took out a pen and began conversing. Same to you, Samantha.
"Dude let me try." Abdullah snatched the pen from Oscar's grasp and started jotting down on the paper. Hi Samantha.
Hi, who is this?
Abdullah and Oscar exchanged bewildered glances.
This is Abdullah Masood.
Oh, Oscar told me all about you last night.
