Sometimes Drim would wake up and everything is white. No form and no shadow can be seen. It feels as if she is in the middle of nowhere. Those were the hours that the world does not exist nor she exists. She is in another dimension. This is the realm hidden within the gates; a cage for the fallen ones.
A strong gust came to her. She knew they were coming. Drim began running breathlessly; she needs to find a way out before it becomes a mess. But the demons were able to find her. They tried to take her soul but when she touched them, they burst into colorful liquids – substances that easily scattered on the unblemished floor. Drim continued her pace until she found a crack which was as small as a coin slot. She punched the little opening and the invisible wall began breaking. She kicked it to cause more damage. She did not stop until the portal was big enough for her to escape. Then Drim stepped into the hole she caused and passed through it until other taints of gray and black reached her eyes. She’s back home now – in the dimension of the mortal gods.
Tolman found her in between the fridges and he immediately moved them to help her exit.
‘Where yo-’
‘I’m fine.’ She tried to run away.
‘You were gone for three days!’ He didn’t want to look at her eyes; those blue orbs remind him of too many things ‘Everyone was looking for you.’
‘Why would they care?’ She almost laughed.
‘If you still think you’re unknown in this town Drim, you are too oblivious… Everyone knows that shy girl that works at Tolmart!’
‘I’m leaving this spring.’
‘What!? I-Is it because of something I s-said? Or I did?’ He did not know what to do or to say anymore. She has been talking like this for months already.
‘My presence will risk their lives if I continue to stay.’
