Alright, so, it wasn't in the Sorting chapter, but Draco did get Sorted into Gryffindor, and Harry and Ron are good friends with him. Hermione has not come into the picture yet, but their friendship will happen faster than it did in the books.

"Ron, wake up!" Harry insisted, yanking Ron's blankets off his bed.
"Why..." Ron moaned.
"It's our first day at Hogwarts!" Harry said.
"Harry, you've lived here your entire life." Draco said, sitting up. "You know exactly what's going to happen."
"So?" Harry stared at Draco. "You think that I didn't do this at the beginning of every year? Even when it wasn't my turn to start?"
"I bet Snape loved that." Ron muttered under his breath, getting out of bed.
"Alright, you slowpokes, I'm gonna go talk to Dad before breakfast." Harry announced. "Meet me down at the Great Hall in about half an hour."
"Okay, see ya Harry." Draco said.
As Harry left, he heard Dean mutter to the other Gryffindors, "He acts like he's seven on Christmas morning."
"Get used to it." Ron replied, eliciting loud laughter from all the young boys.
oOoOo
"Is it a bad thing that I'm so excited to start Hogwarts?" Harry asked.
"Why would it be a bad thing?" Severus asked.
"Well, I've watched every class. I know exactly what's going to happen today. And yet I act like I'm seven on Christmas morning." Harry recited what the other boys had said.
"Harry, you have seen what the older students are learning, and you want to get there." Severus said, putting down his newspaper. "If anything, knowing exactly what's going to happen would make you more excited and less nervous."
"But I've lived here my entire life." Harry said. "Should I make the other boys just get used to it?"
"Harry, you have never had these questions before, and you were just as excited last night as you are today." Harry sensed that Severus was slipping into interrogation mode. "Why are you so worried?"
"No reason..." Harry hedged. "And I was wondering, you said a few weeks ago that once I had a wand you'd teach me Occlumency and Legilimency. Can we do that tonight?"
Severus sighed. "Very well, tonight."
"Do I have to call you and the other teachers 'Professor'?" Harry asked.
"I inquired with Dumbledore like I told you I would." Severus answered. "He asked all the other teachers, and they all said whatever you're more comfortable with."
"Okay. I'm gonna go to breakfast now."
"You do that, Harry."
oOoOo
Harry looked up from his bacon at the staff table. Scanning it, he noted that everyone except Trelawny was there. As he looked at Quirrell, his scar burned very suddenly. His hand flew to it.
"Ah!" he gasped.
"What's up, Harry?" Draco asked.
"Nothing, I just burned myself on the bacon." Harry lied. Draco's eyes narrowed, but he didn't ask any questions.
"Who's the guy in the turban?" Ron asked.
"That's Un- Professor Quirrell." Harry explained. "He was the Muggle Studies teacher until last year, when he traveled the world. Now he's the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. He had some bad run-ins on his trip, and now he's terrified of everything. He stutters, his turban smells like it's stuffed with garlic to ward off vampires, and he's afraid of his own subject."
"Oh." Was all Draco and Ron said.
"Da- Professor Snape said that he applied for the job." Harry added. "We don't know why G- Professor Dumbledore didn't give it to him."
"Harry." Draco said. "We know you don't call the teachers 'Professor.' You don't have to change what you call them in front of us."
"Not in front of you, maybe." Harry said. "But what about in front of everyone else?"
"Who cares about them?" Ron asked.
"I care." Harry said. "I want to fit in. And in order to fit in, I can't call Dumbledore 'Grandpa'."
"Harry, you didn't care earlier." Draco studied Harry's face. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing's wrong." Harry said, not meeting Draco's eyes. "I can change my mind, can't I?"
Harry went back to his bacon, and pretended he couldn't feel the eyes of his friend boring into him.
