After that, I came into a conclusion that maybe Aya had an interest in me. Otherwise, she wouldn’t even bother to ask Mr. U about "nobody" who just happened to sit on the bench every morning.978Please respect copyright.PENANAKLGapBEq0w
So, after that day, I decided to do a warm-reading first before I approach her. I searched for any information about her in the most possible normal way.
First, I had to know her name and which class she was in.
I went to the school number one’s gossiper, a third-year from another class. She was, unofficially, crowned as the school’s “queen of gossip”. She had a reputation of having more than years of experiences in gathering infos. Stuffs about other people’s life –from the trivial to the "juicy" one-. But, much ado about nothing.
I didn’t want to let the gossip girl know that I was relying on her ability, so I had to trick her. I told her that there was no one who’d be able to know everything in this school. If such one would exist, it would be the Principal. I told her that I would recognize her as the number one gossiper in the school, if she could find information about the girl I was looking for.978Please respect copyright.PENANA2nC9XEDkKZ
And she bought it. In two days, she managed to gather the information that I had wished for. She left me to wonder whether I, should be impressed or not by her skill. She even got me shocked for a while when she said; actually, she was the Principal's spy. Until then she said it was a joke.
That was the first time that I knew her name. Aya.
She was a first-year in class 1. Her -seemingly- best friend, Nao, was in the class 5. They went to same middle school and had been friend since then. They met every morning outside the station before going to the school together.
Nao, as I had guessed, was into sport. She joined the cheerleaders club. Aya, the composed one, joined the light-music club.
Then I remembered that I knew a guy who had a little sister on the light-music club. So I went to him. He was a third-year from different class than me. I asked him to introduced me to his little sister -so I could have her introduced me to Aya.
As a good-natured person, this guy kindly introduced me to his younger sister. I was so grateful that he was such a good guy, from then on I always add ‘good guy’ before his name.
So, yet again, I went to another third-party, to get to Aya.
To my surprise, the sister had already become close with Aya because she said Aya was easy to talk to. Even more surprising, they had once a sleepover (along with the other girls from the club). The sister said, they had a very long and fun (according to the little sister) girls’ talk.
Things got even better, when the sister told me that Aya actually had a little crush on me.
That was the time when I was sure that I should make a direct approach already.
Having leverage really boosted my guts, I actually felt like I had nothing lose. So after the day I spoke with my friend’s (the “good-guy”) little sister, I sat there again on the bench, in the morning. That time I knew what I had to do. So I waited, waited, and waited, until then she finally came.
She was there graceful as ever along with her wonder which wouldn’t ever cease. And her gleam which outshined -even- the constellation of Orion. And I was about to get “close” to the source of the radiance.
I walked my way to the two girls and with a calm and composed voice I said “good morning”.
There was a minute of awkward silence when both of them looked to their right side and found me, nonchalantly, greeted them morning. But then, both of them giggled in an endearing manner -which made me glad-, and greeted me back.
I told my name and politely asked theirs, even though I had already known them. Both of them told me their names. But soon after, Nao excused herself by saying that she had to do morning practice for the club. She went off leaving Aya alone with me, who seemed reluctant to let her go.
I knew I had to keep the conversation going before Aya’s face became any redder than a ripe tomato.
So first thing first, I asked why she did ask Mr. U about me. Was there something that I could help her with or something like that. She apologized for not asking me directly for that matter.
She said she was curious as to why did I always sit exactly there in the morning. It couldn’t be just to read a book, after all I could read at any place and any time, she said.
Isn’t that mean all this time she noticed that I was there on the bench? My thought that moment which made me a little bit happy.
She said, she thought, that I put the bench myself there on purpose only for my sake. I laughed a bit at that. And she kept apologizing for her rude thoughts. I said it wasn’t rude at all, quite silly, but funny. Then she blushed.
From there on, everything went smooth as sliding on an ice skate field.
We chatted about many little things –mostly introductory. Before we knew it, we were already inside the school building. And before we parted way, I suggested exchanging contacts on which she simply agreed.978Please respect copyright.PENANAKISORkBGwm
