She is the girl with dirty blonde hair that is always a mess. She has blue eyes, that darken when she is angry, and lighten to a softer blue when she is trying to be soothing. She isn't the shortest, but she isn't all that tall. She isn't pretty, but doesn't put values to looks anyway.
She is the quiet girl, the one who holds her tongue until she explodes. She is the one who wont stand up for herself, but will stand up for the elementary boy that teenagers decide to drag off the bus seat. She is friends with those with mental disabilities, for she has grown up knowing a couple people who were handicapped. She is the girl many would call a geek, a lover of video games, anime, and books. She is the girl who never studied for test, but made good grades. She was the one who was reading in math class her senior year of high school, and is grateful for the challenges that college brings.
She is the girl who stays up late for her friends, wakes up in the early morning just so they won't have to spend the hours before daylight alone. She is the writer, because sometimes written words say so much more than she is able to speak out loud. She is the girl who cusses to much, trusts to little, and would do anything for those she cared about. She is the girl who spent years being tormented by her younger brother, tormented by her peers, and whose past isn't all sunshine and rainbows. She is the girl who dreams of a brighter tomorrow, where there is less evil in the world and more kindness. She is the girl who is willing to be your friend, if a friend is what you need of her, so long as you aren't using her. She is the girl who asks little of people, only that those she helps keep the chain of love ending, passing on the love to another who is in need.
She isn't perfect, and wont pretend to be. She is simply a country girl trying to find her place in this world. She's been told she has an old soul and a child's view of innocence. She has lived and loved, lost and gained, seen the good and the bad. She isn't an angel, she isn't a demon, shes just a person who tries her best to do the right thing, stand for what she believes in, and protect those weaker than herself. Who is she?
The better question is who will you see in her? Will you see her for who she is, or for the stereotypes that society believes in, the same stereotypes that she rejects? Who is she?
Well, you can call her Rose.
