I will miss you, if one can feel such emotions on the spirit plane. Although I am sure the spirits experience every emotion. I know you will not understand and hate will grow deep in your heart, but I pray to the ancestors that you see the deep truth in my actions. I know my heart was full of joy the moment I was able to save him. Do not look at him with disdainful, for I love him just as I have loved you. To love is to sacrifice. It was my act that ended my life, not his. It may have been by his hands, but I will make it so. This is the only path that I saw.
I have no regrets for I did not leave you alone in the world. I am leaving you in his care and him in your care in return. He will help you through what I am sure are dark times upon you. You were always so easily pushed out of balance.
The bliss that I felt in your presence is enough to last me an eternity amid the spirits. You will feel my glee whenever you step into the sunlight. Hear my whispers of passion upon the breeze.
My life will be measured in my accomplishments against what the world viewed as evil and my death, but we three know what was of real value in my life...love, happiness, and the simple gift of laughter and joy. I hope you remember my laugh that rings in the mountains. Recall the little girl who shrieked in happiness as she ran in circles among the tall grass. My smile that always found a way to capture your gaze. Not of the act nor of the betrayal. That was but one moment of my immensely bliss life.
