For those of you who don't know, this fanfic doesn't come from pre-planning, but I let my fingers write history, so I hope this job doesn't go to disaster. Yeah, I don't control my fingers. They control me! MUAHAHAHAHA
LOST IN SPACE
Capítulo 3: Lost in Colarga
A fist crashed into Smith's face and he fell to the ground and looked at his attacker with restrained fury.
“Damn it, I should kill you, Smith!” Don shouted as he drew his gun and pointed it at the fallen man in front of him.
“And what was you planning to do, Major? The monsters would have devoured us if I hadn't put other distractions in front of them to stop them from bothering us. Don't get me wrong, but aren't soldiers supposed to give their lives to protect civilians? I know, Major, I was a soldier too, I fought in the horrible Millennium War, survival is the most important thing, you should know that.”
“Enough, we must kill him," said Don and pointed his gun at Smith.
“No, Don, don't do it!” implored Judy as she held Don's arm and forced him to put the gun down.
“Finally, someone with common sense.”
“I didn't do it for you, you vermin!”
“We have already finished burying Captain Gonzales," said John as he approached the group, "we better pay our respects and continue our march.”
.
.
Once the ceremony was over, the Robinson group and Lieutenant Juan Perez resumed their march, this time on dry land and trying to go to a high place in order to better decide which path would be the most appropriate to take.
They located a small mountain and decided that this would be the best place they could go.
Once they got to the top (robot carried Penny and Will) they could see that in front of them the tropical landscape was changing for a less warm one, but still pleasant, green and fertile plains extended as far as the eye could see and they could see the course of a wide river that meandered all over the place.
Penny took out her watch and started filming.
“After a tiring march, the space adventurer Penny Robinson glimpses before her a new and unknown planet. What challenges will her face in this new environment?” Monologue Penny when a column of smoke rose on the horizon, Penny had to turn off her camera and warn the others about it.
Will asked the robot to scan the horizon with its sensors for signs of intelligent life. The robot told them that far from where they were, various signals of intelligent activity were concentrated.
“I hope they are friendly this time," wished Maureen as she stroked her youngest son's head.
“It would be best if we camped here," suggested John and everyone agreed.
After setting up the camp, it was decided that it would be the robot that would do the guarding as everyone was tired.
“We have to set an alarm in case something happens," said the robot, "I think it would be appropriate to say: danger, danger!”
“What an ingenious piece of junk," Smith muttered silently, and along with the Robinsons, he fell asleep.
.
.
The next morning, the group resumed their march and arrived at what appeared to be a village. The whole place was surrounded by a wooden palisade and there were some watchtowers scattered around the wall.
The lookouts on the wall located the strangers and sent several soldiers to meet the newcomers.
“Don't make any sudden movements," John reminded them when the village soldiers appeared, these were humanoid in shape and had what appeared to be a tail and a pair of cat ears.
The group of soldiers was made up of both men and women and looked at the group closely.
"They maintain a guard position and they don't move or talk, they are disciplined," Don thought, when what was apparently the commander approached them.
The catgirl approached the group and began to speak to them in a language they had never heard before. The cat girl commander looked the group in the eye and began to speak, this time in the language of the visitors.
“Welcome strangers, welcome to the town of Colarga, I hope you will come in peace.”
“Do you speak our language?” John asked in amazement.
“No, but my species has a technique that allows us to understand the oral language of any intelligent creature.”
“Who are you people?” John asked.
“This is the town of Colarga, which is on the border of the Feline Empire, I am the commander of this place and I am called Awina.”
The Robinsons' group showed up and the commander came over to Penny's.
“What a beautiful young lady, you remind me of my daughter, she has the same beautiful hairstyle as yours," said Awina and invited the visitors to leave their fears behind and enter the village.
“You see, mom, "beautiful hairstyle”," said Penny to Maureen with a wiseass look.
“Don't push it, young lady.”
Because of the oriental-style plate armor worn by the guards who received them, the Robinson family believed that they would enter a medieval village, however, they saw that the present technology was similar to that found on earth as they could hear the noise of music coming from radios and could see on the roofs the satellite dishes.
The architecture of the place reminded them of the medieval architecture of Japan, China and Korea. The clothing of the inhabitants also reminded them of that historical period and geographical location.
As they walked through the streets of the village they saw a robot the size of a five-story house preparing a vacant lot, just as a shovel or tractor would do. This robot was not made of metal, but its entire surface seemed to be made of wood.
“What about that thing?” Will asked.
“It's a building robot, the empire is going through a building boom and these things are already a common sight, even in places as far away as this one," Awina told them.
The Robinsons passed by the market and were left with their mouths open, as in this place there were not only catgirls and catboys, there were also creatures of different species.
“First a catgirl, and now I see a rabbit girl, a fox girl, a wolf girl and others," said Judy, who could not decide whether to feel funny or overwhelmed by the sight of so many new species, whether they were males or females, who did not notice them because they were so immersed in their own affairs.
They arrived at the military command and the newcomers explained their situation and how they got to the planet.
“I'm sorry for your situation, I'll help you the best I can. From what you told me, you belong to different dimensions and it is not certain that this place belongs to one of the universes from which you come," said Awinna, "but I have heard of a traveller who seems to be of the same species. He is in Chenrinsu, which is the capital of the feline empire or Nekoi, by the way, this planet is called Meowtis, and is the fourth of this solar system.”
Both Don and Juan, in order not to insult the commander, suppressed a laugh when they heard what they called the planet and after a brief talk they gave the group comfortable rooms to rest from the long walk.
.
.
In the evening, John and Maureen went out into the inner courtyard of their rooms where there was a Japanese-style garden and saw a huge moon, which covered a good portion of the sky.
“Gosh, that thing must be very close to the planet," John said in amazement at the huge lemon-colored star.
“It's very beautiful.”
“Tell me Maureen, are those things I see happening in front of the moon, spaceships?”
“I think they are," Maureen said, forcing her eyes to the limit.
“If they have spaceships, they will also have star charts, I hope we can recognize a star system.”
“Now you shouldn't worry about these things, come to bed, it's getting late and I'm cold," said Maureen as she hugged her husband.
“I'll be right back, first I'll see if Judy's asleep, I don't trust West.”
Maureen shook her head and grumbled to the room.
.
.
The next morning, the Robinsons were awakened by the chirping of the multicolored birds in their large, ornate cages and went to see Awina, who informed them more about the scientific abilities of the catgirls. Apparently, their spacecraft were very much like preWorld War I Oriental-style land ships, but the latter were very similar to the First World War battleships. The catgirls did not know what the fighters were, since it seems that the air war had never been employed, at least on a massive scale unlike the worlds the Robinson or Juan came from.
The commander had contacted her superiors and they showed great interest in authorizing the group to travel to the capital, but Awina would have to stay at her post.
“I hope that somehow you will be able to return to your respective worlds” Awina wished them farewell as she had to make a rounds through the dangerous swamplands.
“This planet is strange," said Juan once when everyone left the command post, "it reminds me of that old anime I used to see as a child: "Thunder Jet".”
“Remember, Lieutenant, this is not a cartoon, we must be cautious in dealing with these people," Smith said.
“Dr. Smith, I think the catgirls are sincere and unlike you, they have no ulterior motives," said Penny.
“Penny precious, I'm just stressing the fact that it would be in our best interest to keep our eyes open.”
“Please stop calling me precious," complained Penny as several children approached the group.
“What curious clothes," said a lovely little girl, who had a beautiful pair of small wings behind her, "but it's a very beautiful dress.
“You see, Mom, "Very beautiful dress”," said Penny, satisfied with herself.
“Don't push it, Penny," Maureen said, rolling her eyes and shaking her head, but she also had a smile on her lips.
The children followed the group to the inn where they were staying and then dispersed.
“Hey Judy, I think I could be the beauty queen in this place, I could create a new style of dress.”
“I don't know, Penny, if we're lucky, maybe we'll go home.”
“I think I'd like to stay in this place," said Penny.
“Are you serious?”
“Yeah, it's not so bad.... to be lost in space, lost in Colarga.”
CONTINUARÁ...
Whoa! I don't know how the world of Meowtis turned out, just like the anime Thunder Jet, as I said, my fingers are going their own way.
