Everyone grabbed hands and Camron closed his eyes. Richard watched as the muscles in his neck bunched then relaxed. Richard had the sensation of falling. HE closed his eyes and fought against the vertigo.
Suddenly it was over, he opened his eyes and found himself standing on a barren plateau. Quickly he activated his abilities and transported them to PEI. He couldn't teleport them exactly where the creatures had gone but he could get within a hundred miles. Give or take a few.
They appeared in the back yard of someone's house but immediatly the others collapsed onto their backsides. Richard frowned. but before he could do anything someone spoke behind him.
"Where did you guys come from?"
Richard spun to see an average height guy with brown and glasses looking at him.
"And why are you guys all heavily armed?" asked the guy.
"Good question," said Richard. He turned back to the others. "Anyone care to help me answer that?"
None of the others answered him. They just remained sitting on the grass. Blank looks on their faces.
"Hello?" asked Richard. He squatted down next to Camron and looked in his eyes. Running through them were multiple images. one after the other.
Richard cursed. All the others were the same way.
"Time Travel Override," he said.
"What do you mean Time Travel?" asked the guy, sounding confused.
"Long story short: We were fighting monsters in the future and they time traveled back to here and we came after them," explained Richard quickly. "But when we time traveled the others fell victim to the Timestream. Their memories were erased and it'll take time to get them back. Time we don't have."
"Where the monsters blue and shaped like humans?" Asked the guy.
"Yes," said Richard. Stunned. "How did you know?"
"Me and a friend ran into them a couple days ago," explained the guy. "He was helping me with some tactical training so we were armed and able to fight them off." The guy shuddered. "But it was a close thing."
"First things first," said Richard. "Can you help me get these guys somewhere they can sleep off the effects? Then we'll go from there."
"Yeah I'll help," said the guy. "I'm Dario, by the way."
"Richard," he replied. "Now where can we put them?"
"Let's bring them inside," said Dario. "The rest of the family is gone for the next two weeks so there'll be no objections that way."
Richard nodded. "Well, let's get them inside. It'll take a while for this to wear off anyway."
