I continue to race down the unknown set of stairs with the boy still In my grasps and ended up getting down about two flights before the sound of door a being slammed Into ripped through the air.
Not expecting that I stumble a bit smacking Into to wall. But I continued to pushed my self off and keep going, I can't stop here, not with that monster coming.
Remembering the child In my arms I mentally scold myself for my recklessness. I HAVE to be more careful I think, Pulling him closer Into my arms. He's holding on to me for dear life, screaming Into my ear, he's terrified and there's nothing that I can do about It. I NEED to get us out of here.
"It's okay. It's okay." I fumble out, trying my best to keep my breathing right as I struggle to keep my balance steady.
looking up, I realize that I had just passed a door. I don't turn around, I keep going and wait till I turned turn to go down the next flight so I could see It, The above head door sign read five. Were on the fifth floor.
I continue to descend down the stairs, The closer we are to the ground the better the chance I have at finding an exit.
Finally I hear the wolf burst through the door above, and If my heart wasn't already ready to bust out of my chest, It definitely was now.
Fear Is the only thing I feel right now. But not just for me. The child In my arms to, I can't let anything happen to him, I wouldn't be able to live with the thought of him dying because of me. I don't even know him but I know that he doesn't deserve to die.
I hear the wolf above me about five flights as he tumbles down a couple of stairs. He's being very sloppy with his footing so I know that the only thing he see's right now Is red and that If he catches me I'll be torn to shreds.
I catch sight of another door. Four. But before I reach It get's pulled open and out pops a scientist. She's covered In blood bent over holding her stomach with a torn lab coat.
She looks up at me with her pleading eyes and screams "HELP!"
She want's me to save her? I'm but that heroic.
Especially since I now for a fact she wouldn't do the same for me.
I evade her by continuing to loop down to the next flight. As horrible as I may seem there's nothing I can do for her shes hurt, She'll do nothing but slow me down and I cannot afford that right now.
when I get to the end I hear somebody else. Glimpsing up, I see that she's been pushed down by a middle aged fat man who Is now right behind me running for his life. Not very fast though.
So many different screams are In the air. That entire floor Is flooded with raging werewolves I can hear and smell them. Blood lust Is heavy In the air, That with a mix of smoke.
As If on cue a werewolf comes flying out of the door to Intercepting the man and I hear them both come rolling down behind me so quickly, I climb on top of the railing next to me and jump down to the next set of stairs.
I keep going push myself harder until I catch sight of another door. Three. I look up above me to see that the massive wolf Is right above me glaring down.
He's gonna jump.
So without a second thought, I jump the rest of the stairs. When I land I slightly loose my footing and slide, falling and busting my butt.
Pain shoots through my entire body as I roll over to my side letting go of the boy, pushing him twords the door.
"GO!" I yell
But he didn't budge he grabbed my arm trying his best to pull me with him but I'm to big. Looking at him struggle and cry absolutely breaks my heart.
I need to keep going.
Looking over, I see that we are only a couple of steps away so with all of my strength, I roll over onto my knees. Crawling the rest of the way, trying my best to Ignore the pain that's radiating through my entire body.
When we get to the door I reach up by placing my hand on the handle and pulling open It open, I push the boy first. But before I go I feel the entire ground shake beneath me.
I look back to see the massive wolf, His pitch black orbs are locked on me, daring me to move and I don't budge In paralyzing fear.
"Stop" He growls.

I watched as he slowly put one of his hands up while crouching down. He looked as If he was going to say something else but before he could, The wolf from earlier dropped down and landed on him. I took that as my chance to get out of there. I slide my self through the door then roll over onto all fours before pushing myself up to walk.
My first step sent a shot of pain through my leg and up to my back but It was bearable so I kept going.
I scooped the boy back up Into my arms and started to run.
I was limping but It was definitely progress.
I got about half way down the hall before the massive wolf busted the door down. I looked back to see him come tumbling out with the other wolf hot on his tail.
Instantly, I picked up my pace trying to going faster as I turn the corner, But as soon as I do, I bump Into something that sends me skidding backwards on my already bruised back and butt.
When I hit the wall behind me I hear a series of growls that make my stomach drop.
They got me.
I open my eyes and see that I bumped Into a werewolf, Not nearly as big as the massive wolf or half as mad. He just stands there glaring down at me and growling any time that I try to move.
When I look to my right I see the massive wolf with the other one closing In on me. I turn around and push the boy against the wall to cage him In with my body around him. Closing my eyes, I start to cry.
I kiss the side of his head "I'm so sorry" "I'm so, so, sorry" I cry to him.
He didn't say anything back he just nuzzles the side of my neck while his hand's play with my hair.
It calms me down a little from my panicked state for a quick second.
But I tense back up when I feel one of the werewolves right behind me. I could feel the heat radiating off If It's body so I look behind me slightly to see what he's doing.
He's crouched down behind me with his hand out.
"Come" he hums.
I look at him for a couple of seconds confused as of to what's happening.
"What?" I say barley audible but I know he can her It.
He didn't reply he just grabbed me by my arm and yanked me up. I yelp In pain but he disregards It and passes me to the wolf behind him.
"Wait!" I yell looking at the boy. He fell when the massive wolf yanked me.
"Come here" I put my arms out to him.
He hesitates at first, looking from me to the massive wolf then back to me.
Finally He run's twords me so I bend down to grab him In my arms to lift him up and place him on my hip. I hold him closely to me then turn back to look at the wolf that I was handed to. He puts his hand on my back and pushes me In front of him.
"Walk" he commands and I listen.

He takes us to the first floor In a box thingy that made my stomach jump when It first started moving. It was quiet the whole way down, the only thing you could hear was me and boys sniffling.
When It stopped I heard a ding then the doors slid open.
The werewolf put his hand on my back again, pushing me forward again.
"Walk"
I did so, stepping out of the box I look around surprised to see people, people dressed like me and boy, also, werewolves. Both races Intermingled In one big crowd.
The room we are In massive, surrounded by glass windows that Illuminate a blinding golden light all throughout the crowded room.
I looked up and saw that the sun was rising. It was my first time seeing this so It took me by surprise. I stand and stare at Its beauty, As all of the different colors swirl In the sky so vibrantly. It's truly astonishing.
"Look" exclaimed boy.
He pointed up at the sun. I looked down and smiled at him. The light bounced off of his smooth skin so perfectly.
"Pretty Isn't It?" I replied.
He smiled back then continued to look with His lovely little green eyes.
A ding from behind me gained my attention, Turning around, I see the massive wolf. He walked out first then behind him stepping out, Stood a beautiful black haired lady with a big belly smiling to someone In the crowd.
I turned to see a werewolf stalking our way. The crowd parted for him with out word. His light brown coat shimmered In the sunlight. See now look, If I thought the massive wolf was big, this one was even bigger and he radiated an energy that made me back away Instantly.
When he reached the lady he placed one hand on her face and she leaned Into his touch instantly, the other hand fell to her tummy.
The whole room was silent as we watched them together. It was truly beautiful, It warmed my heart seeing them together, they were perfect.
Finally he turned around to the crowd pulling the lady closer to his side.
"Now" His voice boomed. Cascading his strength and dominance through the attentive room.
"Let's get down to business" He growled.
