There's something inside, it's inside me, I can't get it out, why? Why? Why?! I did everything right. I did what it said to do. Why am... Why is it punishing me?
I walked up the mountain trail, my ankle was sprained, maybe broken but that doesn't matter. All that matters is that I did it, I did what I was supposed to do. I completed the list, I'll check, check again, I mean, I might have... Missed something? Yeah, that's it! I missed something.
I reached into my pocket my hands shaking as I grasped the crumpled piece of paper. It was a little soaked in the crimson rain but that's fine.
1 check, 2 check, 3 check, 3 tasks, 3 ticked boxes. It was all there. I did it so why?
I groaned in frustration as I made my way up. Look what you did~ you're in trouble. No! Shutup, I- you did it, you killed her, and now you're getting your karma. She's going to haunt you, you know?
I slammed my hands onto my ears to shut it out, the memories came in flashes, I had to forget, I had to forget them. It's over now.
My arms itched, they were so itchy, it was in me, in my veins, it was tingling. There was something in there. Why was it in there? It's not possible, nothings in my veins.
I scratched both arms one after the other it just made it worse. It was so itchy, it was burning I had to scratch and scratch. I kept scratching harder and harder above my veins.
I kept scratching and scratching, nothing happened. I was scratching so hard, but I can't stop, it'll kill me if it stays in I have to get it out make it stop, stop, STOP.
Scissors.
I have scissors, I used them to complete one of the tasks, they're sharp, they can pierce my skin, I would know. Nice and sharp, yes they are. I giggled, I can outsmart it! all I have to do is get the bugs out of my blood easy peasy.
I reached into my back pocket and cut down, down, down my arm, from the wrist all the way down. It hurt, but not that much, just a scratch.
I switched hands and did the other one. Perfect. I smiled. "See, SEE, I outsmarted you I can live!" I yelled to the forest.
I curled in ball on reflex, it was the sound again. It was piercing my ears, it hurt more then I could process untill I didn't hear anything. I took my hands off my ears, there was blood, my ears were bleeding.
Why can't I feel the pain? My mouth salivated, I could feel the blood in my nose, it made its way down, dripping onto the ground. I did what it asked so why?
My stomach felt sick to the core, I couldn't help but gag, the gag led to vomit. It was red, I can't taste anything.
I looked up, the tall figure stood there between the trees barely visibly, just standing there, long skinny limbs, malnourished. It stood tall, its face was blurring, not that it has one, everything was blurring. I must be crying, I could make out its face contorting, the skin ripped itself as the creature smiled, no, it grinned, it was happy.
Black dots, grey dots, coloured dots filled my vision untill I saw nothing, I didn't even see black just nothing, nothing at all.
