Mordecai and Kai arrived at the shore and found themselves standing under a large rainbow with three miniature ones surrounding it. "Wow, it's so beautiful and majestic" Mordecai gasped, his dark amber eyes widening in amazement. "Yeah, I know right? I think this is the brightest one I've ever seen" Kai agreed, taking in the view. The two jumped at the sound of a familiar voice. 318Please respect copyright.PENANA9RXCMftGKv
"Hey, love birds! Over here!" A light brown and white wolf shouted behind them.318Please respect copyright.PENANAWPrzBH1uB2
Mordecai turned around and frowned, "Seriously?! I'm not coming to your wedding or your funeral! Stop being corny, Dash." Mordecai huffed, annoyed. Dash's ears flattened and he sniffed, "Aw, come on I was just kidding...we heard what's going one. Yes, we are coming if mom didn't tell you already" he reassured him, shaking off the sand from his body.
Zip and Zoom dashed past them and Zoom skidded to a halt. The white and yellow wolf looks up at the sky and ponders. Zip ran back to his brother and stared in shock. "Yo, bro what's up?" He asked, tilting his head a bit. Zoom lifted his paw, staring at the sky, "What is that? Something the Guardians created?" He wondered, fascinated by the rainbows.
"Those are The Rainbows of Hope and they are said to bring hope and joy to the world of Anzellix. Yes, there are also rumors of the Guardians forming these to give hope to all who are under them." Kai answers, informing the younger wolves. Zip stared up in awe and said nothing else. Zoom jumped up happily, howling in joy.
The sky quickly darkened and a heavy boom of thunder altered them. Zip and Zoom jumped in fright and ran around in a panic. "WE ARE GOING TO DROWN! THE GREAT GUARDIANS ARE ANGRY!" They screamed in unison. Dash rolled his eyes. "Cut it out already. It’s just a thunderstorm!” He scoffed, annoyed by his younger siblings.
Mordecai rolled his eyes "Well now we know...why are you telling us this?" He sassed, glaring up at Dash. Dash awkwardly coughed "It’s about to rain or pour down, okay! At least I found a cave. I think it's empty. I'm beary sure we should be dry." He answered back, making an awful pun.
Mordecai shook his head and led the others to the uninhabited cave. Luckily, it was empty with no sight of a bear. Only a few empty carcasses and bones were scattered about.
"Mordecai?" Kai asked, "Was there by any chance a wolf named, Sala, who had kept you at one point?" Mordecai stared at her for a bit. "Yeah...I believe so, why?" he answered, giving her a concerned look. Kai smiles, "She's my mother. She had told me about you when I was younger. This was years after my birth and I wonder who this Mordecai pup was that she mentioned. Now, I know" Kai said, laughing a bit.
Mordecai stared at the Kai in shock and embarrassment. He turned his head, looking at the ground beneath his feet "Oh...and then I was handed to these three fluff head's parents after that?" He pointed out, looking back at the trio of wolf brothers and smiling. Kai nodded, "Yep, pretty much. Where you came from is somewhere else."
The hybrid looked at his wings. Wherever I came from, must be a weird place for what I am. Not sure if my people will accept me as one of their own. I’ve been gone forever.
"So about these blades...what's so special about them? Why is that weirdo, Shadoweye, after them?" Mordecai asked. Kai gave him a puzzled look then gasped. "Oh, those! Each kingdom has one. For some reason, they hold a significant amount of power. When put together in a ritual something is bound to. Well, that's what I've heard. I highly doubt he’ll get the chance to get one. Everyone’s mainly buried in high security." she answered, tilting her head and frowning.
Mordecai laid down, yawning closing his eyes. "I'm buckling down. We have to move in the morning. Don't want to keep these guys waiting for me or whatever" he yawned. Kai got up and walked over to the exit of the cave. "Yeah, I know. It's going to be quite a long trip, "she whispered back.318Please respect copyright.PENANAP7YDp8FX18

"Wow, that's a surprise to throw at him" Ti marveled, watching the Vision Gem. Arkoh nodded in agreement, "I know, at least there's something he found out about. He needs to put pieces of the puzzle back. Then maybe he’ll be a little more interested in this" he stated, shifting his gaze from Ti then back to the large floating gem. "He seems to care. Only time will tell." Ti added.
"Well of course. It's not like it's a story of death or anything. It was just the information he may need. I’m positive he’ll see her soon" he pointed out. They sat there in silence, listening to the crickets and cicadas outside the den.
All were asleep except for Mordecai. "I-I worry for him" Ti worried, looking up at Arkoh. "Yes, I feel the same. He is worried more than all of us. It will take time for him to process everything. However, they must not waste any time." Arkoh replied, staring at the Vision Gem intensely.318Please respect copyright.PENANAzBPseyvfmj

Mordecai got up and strolled outside the cave. He sighed and looked down at his paws. I hope...I can save everyone or whatever I have to do. If not then at least I'll die trying or I'll hide and grow old like Elder Keen and hopefully, I'll be better at it. He thought, laughing a bit.
Mordecai jumped up, startled by a yawn that almost sounded like a whale. He turned around to see Zip looking at him with tired half-opened eyes. "M-Mordecai w-what are you murmuring about now," Zip asked, yawning slowly. Mordecai narrowed his eyes and shook his head, "Buddy, go back to sleep. Don't worry about me, okay" he assured the small pup.318Please respect copyright.PENANA6M7ufNto2b
"O-oh okay see you tomorrow" Zip yawned, wobbling back to the cave.318Please respect copyright.PENANAnX2c5WTIs1
Mordecai quietly trailed behind him. He looked into the cave and noticed Zoom lying on top of Dash with Zip. He chuckled and returned outside.
He gazed up at the black sky and the pale glowing moon. Too much was given to me today. My head hurts.
A rather small shadowy creature looks from a distance, watching Mordecai. "So, he is real. Hmmm...to the leaders! He is the one we seek in this world of never-ending first world problems!" The creature whispers quietly in triumph.
A shadow bolted through the grass towards a large ancient cave. It placed its paw on the large doors, saying something. The doors opened and the shadow careened through the cave. They finally entered a city.
Huge buildings made of stone and bricks surrounded them. Market stands stood there, empty and hollow. The sound of a few insects buzzed past.
They stopped at a half-lit doorway. 318Please respect copyright.PENANAoZYIBJPrjt
"Entering the building now" they announced, shouting into the horn hanging on the door.318Please respect copyright.PENANAviHiWbaBMJ
The horn was somehow attached to a wire, leading up to a room. The door opened and they zoomed up a flight of stairs. They entered a room with four wolves. The yellow-eyed wolf approached first.318Please respect copyright.PENANABTNiS7mEIv
"You're back already, did you find him?" She asked.318Please respect copyright.PENANAnlhMD62aGm
The shadow nodded. Then a second wolf walked to her side.318Please respect copyright.PENANAYQwtnRCkcF
"Did he notice you?" the second wolf asked.318Please respect copyright.PENANAxenV121u5D
"No. Not at all” they answered.318Please respect copyright.PENANALk7fWFaSvi
