Chapter 2: “Unexpected Meeting”
{Wednesday, 7:20 PM}
“--- and then, Howl heard something...”
“-- He got curious and went to that noise.”
“- Howl found something abnormal to him…”
Howl has seen something unfamiliar with him, he saw something that has human-like body parts, its size is like an infant but the difference between an infant and that “thing” is their skin, that “thing” has dark greenish skin.
[For the first time, Howl got scared.]
[He was about to dash and run away, but—]
“Stop! What’re you doing to that innocent girl!?” Howl was scared but his bravery and determination are strong enough to shout at that thing.
[Howl discovered…]
[a Goblin was trying to r*pe an innocent girl]
\: “The girl has blonde hair, wearing an All Girl’s School uniform, has freckles, wears knee-socks, has a NikeBag, and then lastly she is wearing rubber shoes. She was wandering through the forest to breathe some fresh air and then a sudden attack appeared from behind.”
[Howl grabbed his prickly stick and swung it to that Goblin’s dark-greenish head with fierce and anger]
|| Thud! Thud! Snap! || *Howl’s stick snapped*
[A lot of blood came out from that Goblin’s head]
[The Goblin ran away leaving Howl and the wounded girl behind]
“Are you okay?” Howl asked.
“Do you think, I am okay?” The girl replied while sobbing-
[Howl held the girl’s hand while panting]
“Oh. Sorry, heh.” Howl breathes heavily, getting tired from that strong attack he did to that Goblin.
[Howl’s eyes started to close while holding the girl’s hand...]
[Howl closed his eyes, laying down on the grass with the girl beside him]
“Her hands are warm—”
Howl fell asleep with the Goblin’s blood on his hands…
{Wednesday, 8:20 PM}
[Howl woke up, tired and afraid]
“Where is she?” Howl asked himself.
[Howl stood up and went to look for her]
“Crap, I forgot to tell her my name, she must’ve escaped or ran as fast as she could. Because I was a total stranger to her, this is bad. What if she told the police or something that I was the one who did cruel things to her? him? I don’t know anymore.”
[Howl got worried and doesn’t know what to do]
Howl walked and tried to forget about it, he was walking slowly because he was trying to remember what happened earlier, but then he heard the girl’s voice “Hey! You’re finally awake.” She shouted across the running river.
--- That voice, I remember that voice…
“Where are you?!”, “Are you inside in my head or something?!”, “Am I hearing things!?” Howl shouted.
-- Howl looked down and covered his ears….
“I am here, silly” The girl giggled.
[The girl removed Howl’s hands and hugged him]
“Thank you.” The girl was very thankful for Howl because he saved her from that rascal goblin.
“What’s your name?” Howl asked the girl, out of curiosity-
“My name?” The girl smiled, “My name’s Cathy Hollows” Cathy replied happily.
*That’s a cute name* Howl’s thought said that, “My name’s Howl. Howl Olive.” He answered.
“We both have the letter H on our names! Hahaha!” Cathy laughed.
[Howl blushed]
\: “Howl has a tragic past; he never gets friends or crushes. We can call him “a loner”, well. He got a friend back when he was still kindergarten but once his friend knew that he plays sticks and stones with trees. His friend decided to leave him and name him hurtful nicknames.”
Howl and Cathy talked to each other; it was the first time Howl felt true happiness in his life. For the first time, Howl has now his—
