Chapter 8: “The Forest’s Awakening…”
[Cathy went to the basement]
After the basement door, there was a very long spiral staircase going down while Cathy was trying herself not to cry and give up. She was thankful for West for, sacrificing himself. Without that sacrifice, the two of them will die inside that snake’s stomach.
“It’s quite dark, darn! I dropped the flashlight when I was running away from that vicious snake…” Cathy went deeper and deeper—
She arrived at the basement, there were roots all over the place. It’s like a tree has been living here… and then there she was, “Slyth” closing her eyes while guarding the place. Cathy tried her best not to make some noise…
[] Cracked! [] Cathy stepped on a stick and it broke in half—
“Huh?” Slyth, woke up…
The room was still dark, Slyth has glowing eyes but it doesn’t mean it can see… and then for something happened out of nowhere-
[Slyth started crying]
“I want to remember, what happened…” Slyth said while weeping.
Cathy hid behind a metal container, she was eavesdropping…
The doors going to the basement opened, “SLYTH! Go to sleep! Or I’ll make Sam eat you too!” –
The door then shut… Slyth then stopped weeping and close its glowing eyes. Cathy stood up and moved while darkness was blocking her sight, she then found a bottle. A bottle with green fluids on it, there was a paper attached on the bottle—
“Mrs. Olive’s blood #21” Cathy read the paper…
[She dropped the bottle…]
[it shattered to pieces, making the green fluid flow]
“Uh oh” Cathy then ran and climbed behind the tree, grabbing its branches and using it for balance. She then on top of Slyth’s head… because of the commotion, she woke up—
She grabbed Cathy’s legs, and said. “You dare to wake me up during my precious slumber?” Cathy then threw the flashlight on her glowing eyes. Slyth dropped Cathy and then she got the chance to run away,
“Cathy!!!” Slyth shouted in anger,
Cathy then made a run for it and tried to find the lever, the lever for Howl and “His Mom’s” chains while Slyth was busy finding Cathy, she went off-guard and didn’t noticed that Cathy already pushed the lever. She did it when the green fluid flowed, it was a very smart move for Cathy because now all she needed to do is escape the basement but there was a big problem blocking her way. After she escapes the basement, she’ll be greeted with the big ol’ snake named Sam. The one who ate West White, head to the body. –
[] Ssss, Sssss [] Sam slithering from a distance.
[Cathy walked silently and tried to not make a noise]
“What should I do next?” Cathy planning on her next move, she then threw a piece of metal. It made a very loud noise when it hit the ground, it’s so loud it made Sam the Snake get distracted. Cathy wasn’t strong or determined like Howl, but she’s one smart girl.
\: “Cathy Hollows, pale and a hard-working student. She gets all A’s on subjects at her school. Science and English were her main subjects, she’s known for one of the brightest, smartest, on-point students on the campus.”
{Friday, 2:00 AM}
~~ Howl’s POV ~~
“Wha- What happened?” Howl asked himself while staring at “his mom” … He felt a bit odd looking at her mother, he feels like this “thing” isn’t his mother because she got a different aura and scent. Far different from his loving and caring mother, he tried to kick that “thing”, but it was too far, and he barely can move his legs from the torture Dr. Kylo did to him.
--- suddenly.
-- the chains were released…
- Howl and that “thing” fell on the ground.
Cathy made her entrance and said “Howl! Are you okay?”, she then carried Howl and helped him.
“How about mom?” Howl asked,
“That’s not your mother, Howl. I’ll explain to you once we get out!” the two of them left, leaving that “thing” behind.
[Howl pushed Cathy]
“What’re you doing, Howl!?” Cathy shouted,
“Saving my mother…” Howl got up and tried his best to walk over his “mother”, when Howl got near. His “mother’s” head fell off, leaving its dry body to rot.
“Mom?!” Howl grabbed his “mother’s waist” and said…
--- HOWL! LISTEN!
-- THAT’S NOT YOUR MOTHER!
- ALL THIS TIME, SLYTH WAS YOUR DEAR MOTHER WHO DR. KYLO EXPERIMENTED!
