Ian woke again.

He was still in the forest.

Patrick lay, slumped on the ground in front of him, battered and bloody.

And his eyes were open.

He was dead.

So he never got to see his daughter after all.

But where was the boy?

Ian got up and called out.

Nothing.

Then...

He saw a glimpse of a white tunic up in the branches of a tree.

There.

Just as bloody as Patrick.

Hurriedly Ian pulled him down to examine the damage.

Very badly injured, but still alive.

He breathed a sigh of relief.

The boy opened his eyes.

"I suppose you'll want to go home now?" He said weakly.

"When you're better," he replied.

He lifted the boy up and with a sudden gust of wind he was in front of his home again.

Louise came out.

"Where have you been you had me worried-"

She gasped.

"Wha-" she began.

"Later." Ian replied.
