The ocean was salty. Of course it was. He didn't know where the thought had come from that convinced him otherwise. He could feel something wrapping around his limp form, some creature that would normally be saved for fairytales. It dragged him down, under the depths. As he descended, he opened his eyes, blinking against the sting of the saltwater. It was... beautiful. Despite the horror stories of monsters in the water, the underworld of blue was a surreal realm of its own.
