"Excuse me, is anyone sitting there?" A witty looking man says as he points to the empty seat next to me. He has messy brown hair and scars running down his face.
"Oh um no." I say as I move my stuff over and he sits down. I look around the bus and see three other men laughing their heads off.
"So, how are you?" The man asks.
"Fine," I say quickly back to him.
We sit in silence for a few minutes. I contemplate what Hogwarts University will be like in that time. The castle grounds and the classes. I personally am an arts major. I smile as I think about that. Mum and dad said I could never to do it but yet here I am.
"So what's your name?" The man asks and I smile faintly.
"I don't really tell strangers my name." I say.
"That's okay, besides neither do I. I hand out a phone number." The man says.
"I'm (y/n)," I say.
"Remus, Remus Lupin." He says as he sticks out his hand. I grab it and shivers are sent down my back. I shake his hand and let go rapidly.
"You listen to music?" I ask.
"Moony!" I hear get screamed from the boys at the front.
"They're calling me, I'll be right back." Remus says as he walks up. Moony, I think. Then I piece it together.
"Don't rush." I say as he gets up and smiles down. He was tall, taller than me, and I thought I was tall. I look out the window and watch the rolling hills pass by. The greens and violets and blues mixing together on the hillside from the flowers. I smile faintly at the mixture as I imagine painting it. I watch for what seems like a life time as I take it all in. I enjoy ever second of it.
"I'm back." I hear Remus say as I look over and see him. His blue sweater covering his hands and his baggy jeans drooping to the floor.
"I can see that." I say as I watch him sit down.
"So what did you do while I was gone?" Remus asks rather shyly.
"I just watched the scenery go by and imagined painting it." I say as I turn away and look out the window again.
"So you're an arts major, so am I."
"Really now, how did your parents handle it?" I ask as if it was a disease
"Yeah, mum was fine but dad did have a bit to say about it." Remus says as he shrugs a bit.
"Yeah, both of my parents didn't really support it either."
"Sorry to hear that."
"Hey is that it?" I ask as I see a castle rising in the distance over a lake. I look around and see a forest and greenhouses. It was spectacular. There are even the highest caliber training facilities. At least thats what the brochure says.
"That looks like it." Remus says as he leans over and looks out the window and sees the castle. I could tell from the glint in his eye.
"If it isn't loony Lupin." I young lady says with curly black hair and a shrill voice.
"Bella, nice to see you here." Remus says as she rolls her eyes and walks away.
"Loony Lupin? What are you a comedian?" I ask trying not to laugh.
"Shut it (y/n), here let me give you my number so we can text later." Remus says and I nod. We exchange numbers as the bus begins to pull up to the bus stop to let us all off.
"Come on Moony," A man yells with black hair down to his shoulders and a crooked nose.
"Yeah get off your arse and hurry up," Another man says with glasses and more black hair.
"Coming Padfoot and Prongs," Remus says, he then looks my way, "Text me."
"Will do moony." I say and he rolls his eyes.
"See you later, who knows maybe we'll have the same schedule. But for now, text me." He says and I nod. Remus gets up and walks away and into his friends and I go to my phone.
I then wait for everyone to get off the bus. It was just me and the bus driver.
"thanks for the ride sir." I say with a small smile and the man just nods. I look to his badge and it says Filtch. His graying hair unkept.
I walk off the bus and can smell the forest. I walk through the courtyard and into the housing area for new students. I go to my assigned dorm and walk into another guy changing his clothes.
"Oh sorry." I say as I begin to close the door.
"It's okay, you must me (y/n), name is John, John Makermen." The guy, who I now guess to be my roommate John, says.
"I'll just finish closing this." I say as I close the door and sigh. A few seconds later the door opens.
"Sorry about that, thought you weren't coming or something since you were here so late." John says as he opens the door and smiles. He has pearly white teeth, a pale complexion and blonde hair.
"It's okay." I say as I push up my glasses and walk into the dorm. It was small but we each had a bed and that's what mattered. I lay my stuff down underneath my bed and smile faintly remembering the boy from the bus.
"So you excited for your first term?" John asks and I smile over to him.
"Yeah and you?"
"Really excited, met this cool person on the bus, think we hit it off, if you know what I mean." John says with a small shake of his body and I laugh. I go to my phone and pull up my texts.
"You're so weird." I say as I scroll down the contacts to the infamous, Remus Lupin.
"Thanks." He says as I click send message to Remus.
