(Taehyung’s POV)
"How do I look?" She asked slowly
A sweet smile spreads across her pink lips as our eyes meet, inviting the pounding of my heart to intensify in my chest. Without realizing it, my feet slowly stepped closer to that beautiful girl.
"You look...." My tongue suddenly stiffened as we drew closer.
"Very beautiful!" Jungkook suddenly cut my steps with his body and rushed over to Lily without hesitation. He grabbed her wrist and twisted her body spontaneously, leaving the girl wide-eyed but even more impressive with the sweep of her dress as she spun around.
Damn. He stole my words.
I pressed my jaw hard.
"Ah.. jk... thank you..." lily looked blushed after lowering jk's hand. She glanced at me silently.
"Wow daebak... you have the aura of a star, Lily..." Jin chuckled in admiration as he stared at her, causing the girl to cover her face which was blushing spontaneously from embarrassment.
Ugh, that’s so unfair. Why is she so adorable?
"The dress really suits you. I think people's eyes will be set on you..." namjoon suddenly stood up from his seat and smiled broadly at Lily.
I swallowed my own saliva realizing namjoon's sentence was on point.
Ah, How can I take my eyes off this girl all night if she looks like this?
"Ah...ha.. you guys are too generous with these compliments. But thank you very much, I really appreciate it..." she said bowing her body politely. Her gaze darted back at me, making me nervous.
Her eyes gave a hint as if she was waiting for the words to come out of my mouth.
But I...
"Yaaah.... yaaaah... come on, we have to go right now...we shouldn't be late..." I said quickly trying to break our gaze.
Lily bit her lip again
"Aah yes, let's go .." namjoon chimed in while preparing to rush with two staff behind him.
"What time will the dinner end? I hope it's before midnight..." jk sulked at lily without taking his eyes off her at all.
Iissh.
“Even if it is, then it's fine. She’s not cinderella. just take a rest, Jk... you don't have to wait for us.." I said straightforwardly towards Jk as I rushed over to Lily
Jk sneered at me.
"Are you ready?" I asked her. Lily nodded while smiling at me.
"Come on .." I said while gently pulling her wrist, making Jk bend his face.
"Have fun, guys....!" Jin waved his hand at us.
Then the five of us rushed out of the apartment.

It took about 30 minutes to finally get to the Chun’s family residence area.
Yes...30 minutes full of torture because I had to restrain myself from staring at Lily who was sitting right across me in the long limo.
Along the way, it was namjoon who talked to Lily a lot because they were sitting side by side. While one of the bighit’s staff sat in the front seat with the driver and another staff sat beside me in silence throughout the road.
"Wow... a palace..." Lily muttered. Her eyes were exploring the scenery outside the car window that revealed the Chun’s family residence in front of us.
A white-walled castle-like building with hundreds of white and red roses in its courtyard stretches out in the eye. On the left and right side lays a wide expanse of grass that surrounds the 4-story house. Luxury cars seemed to be parked in the front yard proudly.
"We've arrived" namjoon smiled as he straightened his clothes quickly. I breathed a sigh of relief then glanced at Lily who was still amazed peeking through the window.
And then, The car stopped completely.
We were greeted by two men in black suits as we got out of the car. They look very neat with a smile on their face
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome. Mr Chun already waited inside...." said one of them.
We rushed into the mansion. Namjoon was in the front with one of the staff, while I walked side by side with Lily and the last staff walked behind. Lily seemed a little nervous because I saw that she seemed to be unconsciously biting her lip again.
A habit that can really drive me insane.
"Welcome, gentlemen..." a firm voice sounded, bringing me back into focus.
A beautiful middle-aged woman with a slender body was standing right in the middle of the living room corridor. The black gold lace dress looks luxurious wrapping her tall body. Beside him stood a manly man in a black tuxedo
"Mr and Mrs Chun, it's our pleasure..." namjoon greeted his greeting while bowing his body. We all did the same thing, making the extravagant-looking couple smile widely.
"It's an honor for us too. Are you ready for dinner?" he asked politely. I can only glance at namjoon who has been representing us talking. He nodded politely, making me smile.
I'm already hungry.
"Umh..stop biting your lips..." I whispered to Lily who still looked nervous beside me. She quickly turned to me and pressed her lips.
"Sorry," she whispered softly as she glanced back at the mansion, trying to act casual. This was in contrast to her fingers which were intertwined nervously. Her thumb seemed to be stroking the back of her own hand many times in a circular motion, as if trying to calm herself .
I smiled, enjoying all the adorable sights beside me.
Mrs Chun led us to a dining room that had been arranged neatly. On all four sides of the walls are decorated with classic paintings that look elegant with harmonious gold frames. A long carved table was in the middle of the room with 10 chairs around it.
This caught the attention of Namjoon who quickly started to approach the painting, accompanied by the Chun couple.
"Hi.. Taehyung-aah!" Suddenly a female voice greeted me kindly from my left, making me turn around quickly.
A young girl with long brown hair seemed to be smiling broadly at me. She wore a white gold dress that showed one of her shoulder.
Ah... Joanna.
Her arms were tightly flanking the arms of a tall man with blonde hair and wore a casual black suit who was standing beside her.
Who's he?
The two of them walked over to me casually
"Hi Joanna .." I greeted while smiling at both of them.
I glanced at Lily beside me who was also smiling with a slightly confused face
"This is the eldest daughter of the chun family.." I whispered quickly to her, making lily nod slowly.
"Nice to meet you again.." she said smiling while looking at me closely.
I smiled slightly at her but then glanced sharply at the man beside her because he was now staring intently at Lily.
"Ah, yes... this is my cousin, he just came back from Paris... so he also joined us for dinner..." she said, patting the man beside her on the chest, making him look away from Lily.
"Pierre LeBlanc..." The green-eyed handsome man smiled at me as he held out his hand.
"Kim Taehyung.." I greeted quickly.
He smiled widely.
ish. His grip is kind of strong and firm.
"And you, Mis....?" he asked suddenly towards Lily who was transfixed.
"Um... I'm..." Lily opened her mouth haltingly
"She's my personal assistant, Lily Byeol.." I said firmly cutting Lily's words.
Joanna looked at Lily from head to toe with a faint smile, while the blonde man suddenly approached Lily and grabbed her wrist quickly.
Huh, what's he up to??
"Lily... ? Hum.... what a beautiful name, it really suits you well, Ms Byeol...." he bowed as he pulled Lily's hand towards his face and casually kissed the back of her hand.
Yaaah!!! What the heck??!
Lily looked surprised but then smiled nervously
"Aah... um... merci bocup..." she said softly, making my face suddenly feel hot, especially since the man hadn't let go of his grip yet.
"Whoaa...it seems Pierre has found his dinner partner...you're lucky, Miss Lily...Pierre is one of the most wanted bachelors in Paris..." Joanna glanced at her cousin spoiled, while the man still didn't say anything. unmoved staring at Lily.
"Do you mind if I sit next to you? I really want to know you better..." Pierre bluntly said to Lily, making me suddenly clear my throat loudly.
"Ehem, I guess that..." I said quickly
"A Very good idea!" Joanna cut me off then quickly shifted to my side.
She pressed her body against my right side while smiling broadly at Lily who was looking at us both with her round eyes.
Iish, Why is she suddenly clinging like this?
"That's not it, I mean .." I stopped for a moment because Joanna suddenly grabbed my arm.
"Lily definitely won't mind, right? Besides, there's a lot I want to talk to Taehyung about...." she said quickly to Lily.
Lily was seen pressing her jaw slowly while looking at me and Joanna alternately. I tried to signal her so she wouldn't accept the offer, but Lily just smiled faintly as she glanced at Pierre slowly
"Sure, It's my pleasure .." replied the beautiful girl surprised me.
I raised my eyebrows for a moment,
What is she talking about? She should be sitting next to me!
"Aah, great! This is fun... come on, taehyung-ah... I'm already hungry..." Joanna grabbed my arm happily and pulled me towards the dining table, leaving the two of them behind us.
Aaah.. damn.
When we arrived at the dining table, Namjoon had already taken a seat with the Chun couple.
He sat on the right side of the table right next to Mrs. Chun. He signaled me to quickly sit across from him.
Before I could move, Joanna had pointed a chair on the left side of the dining table and asked me to sit beside her.
I glanced at Pierre who finally followed us to the dining table and directly opened the chair for Lily across my seat, while Lily looked surprised by the gentleman's treatment.
Cih, such a flirt.
"Merci..." Lily mumbled softly at him then slowly glanced at me. Her round eyes looked doubtful and waited for my approval but I responded with a sharp look and a hard squeeze of my jaw. I'm upset with her decision and I want Lily to be aware of it.
"I heard you guys are having another concert?" Joanna beside me suddenly interrupted my concentration.
"Um? Ah yes.. online concert. We’re trying something else because the situation doesn't allow us do a normal one.." I replied towards her.
Joanna sulked at me then showed a spoiled face
"Well, does that mean there’ll be no audience? Um...but can I still come?" She asked as she slowly touched my arm.
I cleared my throat and shook my head
"I still don't know about that," I answered simply.
Joanna pursed her lips at me, causing me to quickly raise my eyebrows. If Lily was the one who sulking in front of me, my heart might already be racing wildly.
Um, Lily...
I glanced quickly at the girl across from me. She seemed busy chatting with the blonde man, I cant hear them clearly but I could see the glint in the man's eyes every time he saw Lily smile.
Iish.... lilyyyy... can you just stop smiling just for tonight? And stop being friendly like that?
I cursed in my heart.
Once in a while that man was seen trying to touch Lily’s shoulder while laughing, making Lily a little awkward and slowly biting her lip.
Mmppfh !
Before I realize it, my fingers clenched tightly.
"Hey, you're wearing the bracelet I gave you Taehyung-ah?" Joanna suddenly squealed happily while touching my wrist with enthusiasm.
I quickly turned to her
"Aah.. yes... um...the color’s nice. I like it.” I answered briefly with a small smile.
So far, this ruby-colored bracelet has only been stored in my closet drawer, I just thought of wearing it today as a form of appreciation and courtesy for her kindness to me in the past.
"Aaaah....that’s sweet. I'm so happy..!" Joanna suddenly grabbed my arm while laughing happily, attracting the attention of two pairs of eyes in front of me. I tried to avoid this kind of physical contact with her but Joanna was sticking to my arm even more.
Lily and Pierre looked at us both for a moment. The man smirked slowly then quickly refocused his gaze on lily, while Lily just gave me a blank stare and then sighed softly before finally chatting with Pierre again.
Ummfh....this is starting to make me uncomfortable.

The clinking of glasses from the end of the table caught the attention of everyone already seated.
Mr Chun was standing while raising his wine glass and giving a short greeting. We all raised our glasses and took a sip of the delicious red wine at the end of his speech.
The dishes started to come in, starting from the appetizer and then continuing to the main course.
During dinner, Joanna was constantly trying to get my attention with her clingy demeanor, while I was desperately trying to be as casual as possible.
In contrast to Pierre across from me who seemed to be trying very hard to impress Lily with all his gentlemanly manners. Compliments aimed at Lily often slipped from his lips, not to mention all his overly sweet demeanor.
Ish…for me, he is too obvious on showing his interest in lily. His attitude is somehow annoying and makes me angry.
In the midst of the main course, the Chun couple talked about the reason they invited us all tonight, which was to celebrate their success in getting a painting which is considered a ‘rare collection’.
They got it from a tight auction held by the auction house 'Christie' in Paris where the proceeds from the sale of the painting will be used to help provide clean water programs for the villagers of Cameroon, Madagascar and Morocco.
This is one of the reasons I accepted the dinner invitation from this couple, I really appreciate their generous spirit-besides the fact that I really like painting and all things art related.
"And this painting arrived safely in Seoul thanks to my nephew, Pierre. He brought it directly from Paris .." continued Mr. Chun while nodding his head at Pierre who looked confused when his name was called, he turned his face away from lily then quickly nodded back to Mr. Chun.
Cih, he was too busy flirting to the point where he forgot to pay attention to his uncle who was talking.
"And we'll all be able to see the painting in the gallery room after dinner..." Mrs Chun replied proudly.
Me and namjoon looked at each other and smiled. We both can't wait to see this rare painting.
"It's an honor for us..." Namjoon said while nodding politely at the couple. It made me also nod politely at them.
They both smiled sweetly then invited us all to go back to eating.
"Um... taehyung-ah, if you're tired of seeing all the paintings, we can go to the 3rd floor after..." Joanna suddenly whispered softly to me just before shoving her steak. Her eyes twinkled at me.
"...3rd floor?" I was confused
She came closer to my cheek, making me startle
"A Welcoming party for Pierre....I'm sure lots of fun things can happen there.." she winked coquettishly, making me suddenly shudder.
"Ooh.... umm... I don’t know bout that, I'm not sure I can stay that long.." I replied with a faint smile.
Joanna raised an eyebrow
"Really...? Well... that’s a shame, I want Pierre to have fun tonight. Moreover, it seems that he has found a girl who makes him comfortable and can accompany him at the party..." Joanna glanced at Pierre who was watching Lily eating carefully .
I pressed my jaw hard then glanced at the two of them.
What is she talking about? Lily isn't going anywhere. She will come home with me tonight.
"Ah... I'm not sure Miss Lily will agree with that idea. She's not the type of girl who likes parties.." I said as I slashed back at the steak in a huff.
Joanna chuckled
"Don't be too serious, taehyung-ah... judging by her attitude tonight, she doesn't seem to mind. After all, she’s just your staff and you don't know exactly what she wants, right?" She smirked at me, making me bite my steak harder.
"Come on...Let her have some fun...and...let yourself relax...a little bit." She sulks as she runs her fingers across the base of my arm, making me nervous.
Yes, anxious to think If it really happened : Pierre asked Lily to come to the party and she just agreed.
I cast a silent glance at lily who turned out to be looking at me from across the table. Those beautiful eyes twitched as if she was thinking about something, making me press my jaw really hard
Could it be that Pierre had invited her to the party tonight?
Is she thinking about the answer??
Has she said yes to him??
The thoughts made me tighten my jaw and snort softly at her.

I chewed the steak in my mouth slowly, the taste melted, spoiling my taste buds instantly.
Tonight's dish was amazing. Not only that, the grandeur of the Chun family's house really stunned me plus their polite and friendly attitude made me very comfortable. Even Pierre, whom I just met, was very sweet and welcoming to me.
But...
I don't understand Tae's attitude tonight.
Why is he so cold and angry every time he sees me.
Just like now, our eyes met on the dining table accidentally and he threw that annoyed look at me again. As if I had made a big mistake.
Was he angry that I accepted Pierre's invitation to sit next to him?
Does he think I should refuse?
Even though that's actually what I want but I don't want to be labeled rude, especially because it will affect people's assessment of Tae, because I'm his assistant tonight.
After all, he didn't prevent it either, did he? He just let this happen.
So why should he be mad at me??
"Are you good?" Pierre turned to me. His sweet smile appeared again.
I replied with a small nod
"I'm great, Thanks. The steak tastes amazing.." I smiled.
Pierre's green eyes are looking at me
"well you...... you look amazing...."
I laughed softly
"Thanks. But I thought we're talking about food.."
Pierre chuckled then winked one eye
"We did, but you distracted me..."
I just sighed softly while smiling faintly
Amazing? Pretty? Stunning?
Some of the many sweet words that often come out of this man's mouth, but not a single one that comes out of the mouth of a Kim Taehyung tonight.
Gosh, he's not even commenting on the dress I'm wearing tonight.
What's his problem? Doesn't he like it?
He had made me nervous and thought my appearance was not good enough to accompany him tonight.
Yaah, What the heck, why is his opinion suddenly so important to me?
"So... are you excited to see the painting? Or... are you coming here for something else?" Pierre asked again shortly after dessert was served on the dining table.
I furrowed my forehead at him
"Something else? I'm not sure I understand that..."
Pierre gave me a small grin
"faire la fête. My party... Jo already set up everything tonight.. i'm sure it'll be more fun than to stare at old paintings on the wall"
I widened my eyes
"Ow... i'm not sure i knew anything about a party. But it's fine for me, since i enjoy staring at old paintings on the wall.." I said emphasizing the last sentence while spooning the parfait into my mouth.
Ummfh ! if this man thinks enjoying a work full of artistic taste and has a lot of extraordinary meaning behind it--is boring, then I don't mind being labeled as a very boring person.
"Désolé si je vous ai offensé, I didn't know you like paintings.." he said a little surprised.
I just smiled slightly at him in response.
"But seriously, mademoiselle...i want you to come to the party with me. It will be on the 3rd floor.." he asked again while bringing his face closer.
I raised my eyebrows
"I'll make sure to talk about that to Mr. Taehyung first..."
"Hmm, I don't think you need to, Joanna said he already arranged everything. He will go with her and you'll be....with me. Didn't he tell you?" Pierre narrowed his eyes.
My eyebrows raised instantly
"Oh, Really??”
I cast my gaze across the table, where the girl was spoiling Tae. She looked like a magnet that couldn't be separated from the handsome young man's arm.
Before I realize it, my chest felt a little tight and I feel like something was stabbing it slowly.
I suddenly felt furious.
Ooh, I see! could this be the reason tae invited me tonight? To torture me with the final assignment as his personal assistant? Pair me with Pierre so he can be alone with Joanna?
Without at least asking me for approval first??
He didn't even care weather I like it or not???

"So...how?" Pierre looked back at me. His handsome face drew closer to me with hopeful eyes.
I bit my lip hard then glanced across the table and found Tae staring at me unblinking. His eyes were sharp and he seemed to be pressing his jaw.
Why is he looking angry again? I should be the one mad at him. Not the other way around!
Is this another challenge that I should do for him? And does he think that I'll be scared?
For God sake, If this is what he wants, then I'll gladly grant it!!
With annoyance starting to fill my chest, I looked away from Tae and smiled as sweetly as possible at Pierre.
"Ooh of course, I can't wait. I'm sure it's gonna be so much fun!" I said raising my intonation and gently patted Pierre's chest with my fingers.
Pierre looked happy, he did not stop smiling while the wavy haired man opposite me straightforwardly threw a look full of anger.
His fingers were clenched and his jaw looked very tense.
Seeing him, a small grin appeared at the corner of my lips.
So this is what you really want, huh?
Are you satisfied, Mr Taehyung ??
