A whole month passes by after I see that damned clown. Eventually, on August 28th, school starts back up. My last year of school. I wake up the morning of my first day of school and put on my new clothes. I walk down the hallway and get stopped by dad.
"What the hell do you want this time? I have to get to school. I'm sick of you doing this. Leave me alone. I did absolutely nothing to you. It's not my fault you don't have a son, it's not my fault mother died, and it's not my fault you are the way you are. And I'm not afraid of you anymore. You'll be lucky I don't turn you in soon. I'm done."
I brush past him and head out the door. I grab my backpack on my way out. I put it on and grab my bike. I get on my bike and go to school. At the school, I meet Angel at my locker.
"Hi, Angel."
"Hi, Penny. You ready for the last year of high school."
"I wish I was done with high school."
"Hm. Me too." She smiles. "What's your first class?"
"Physics."
"Me too."
"Who with?"
She pulls out her schedule and looks at it. "Mr. Fillin."
"I have it with Mrs. Rosita."
"Aww. That's not fair."
"We had better get going. See you later."
"Okay."
I head to Physics and find a seat. The bell rings and everyone takes a seat. Mrs. Rosita walks in and takes the attendance. She has everyone stand up and introduce themselves. I'm the last one.
"Penny?"
I sigh and stand up. I clear my throat. "My name is Penny Rose Phillipson. I love to read and my favorite class is art. I am 17 years old. I'm a senior and my birthday is October 31st. Or Halloween. And Halloween is my favorite holiday." I sit down.
"Do you have a favorite movie? Or book?"
"Um, both would be It. My favorite character is Pennywise the Dancing Clown. I really like clowns."
"Me too."
"She looks like a clown," a girl says and makes a silly face. She changes her voice and says, "I'm Penny. I like clowns. Honk, honk."
Everyone bursts out laughing as I sit there as calm as anyone could ever be.
"That's enough! There will be none of that in here. You understand me? Everyone in here has their own qualities. Everyone in here is different. We respect people's differences in this school. I don't want to see it again."
I sit in silence the whole class. I'm the last to leave when the bell rings. I really don't care, though. I'm not worried about it. Almost the same thing happens in every class. Some of the teachers don't say anything. Finally, the day ends and I meet Jennifer at my locker.
"Hey, girl. How was your first day?"
"Horrible." I shut my locker door. "I got laughed at and made fun of in every class and only, like, two or three of the teachers did anything about it. The others just ignored them."
"That's not right. Come on. I want to see your new, arranged bedroom."
We head out of the school and grab our bikes. Suddenly, I hear a high-pitched male giggle. I look up, directly at Pennywise. He waves at me. I wave back and flip him off. He frowns as I get on my bike. I follow after Angel. We get to my house and go in the back door. We go back to my bedroom and I shut the door. I lock it and push my dresser in front of it. Suddenly, Angel says,
"Hey, Penny, what's this?"
I turn around and find a trunk with a piece of paper and my phone on it. I walk over and pick up the paper and my phone. I throw my phone on my bed and unfold the paper. I read what it says.
Here is the trunk I found you heading towards. You can have it if you want. I don't need it. You left your little device too. So I brought it back.274Please respect copyright.PENANAnjWp6YGU8G

I gasp. "Oh, my God." I ball up the paper and throw it in my trashcan. I look down at the trunk. I sit down and study it. It has a lock on it. It's a good thing I have a mini hammer and plyers that I stole from dad. He doesn't know I have them. I grab them and use them to get the lock off. I throw the lock aside and pry open the trunk. I gaze into it and throw aside the sheet. I pull out what's in it and lay it all on my bed. It's a clown outfit just like Pennywise's. Except for it's for a female. I tap my chin. Awkward.
"What's this from?"
I shrug. "I have no clue. All I know is that it's from Pennywise."
"Pennywise?! What?!"
"Angel, calm down."
"But the Losers killed that damn clown!"
"Apparently, he came back."
"I don't understand why they even rebuilt the well house anyway."
"I don't either, but they do kind of need a well house. Some people still depend on it." I sigh. "And it also makes an easier way to get to the sewers."
"I heard that they just finished a brand new well house last year over the summer before you moved houses again."
"This is that new well house."
"Is it really?"
I nod. "Yes."
"Oh, my gosh. That's insane."
I put everything back in the trunk, cover it up with the sheet, and shove it into my closet. I sit on my bed and spend the rest of the afternoon talking and laughing with Angel.
