ADAN GONZALES
The day was a day like any other. Boiling hot, but somehow it still manages to rain. Anyone who took a step out of their front door would get dehydrated immediately. Same goes for the back door. Or a side door, if you got one or maybe two.
A 15-year-old guy walked out of his door after experiencing the death of his parents, who were murdered by an inner demon of his and he became a broken shell of what he once was. The pain made him vow to himself that he would try to get rid of any demon that stepped in his way. No matter the cost.
Just kidding! I'm sorry for the dark turn of events. That guy is not me, let me assure you. At least that guy won't make an appearance any time soon.
Anyways, a 14-year-old boy, knowing it was a boiling hot day, decided it was a good idea to wear a hoodie. And let's be honest, it looked cool on me. That boy was me, just chillin' on the sofa, smiling, surrounded by my bro, Julian, who was the darker older version of me, and my twin sisters, Giselle and Brielle, who were the younger, annoying cringe girls.
"Yessssss..." I mumbled as I put my hands behind my head. "The day won't be so boring after all."
"Yes," the twins repeated out of boredom.
"No," said Julian, clearly joking around. He was a weird guy. Once, I yelled at him out of rage in the garage, because he has his bit of annoying. He got so mad for my protests, that he threw me across the garage. You heard right. He picked me up and tossed me across that concrete box of pain. Other times, he would be that hilarious big brother. But then again, he did throw a unicorn toy at my head, and I got hit by the horn. It hurt.
My twin sisters on the other hand were just as bad. I was forced to fight my family members as a punishment, while they just called me the bad guy. But then I'd insult them and we became even.
So I was laying on the sofa repeating the word "yes" over and over, because boredom always finds a way, when another sister of mine, Cassedy, stepped into the living room.
"What's all this yessing about?" she asked, confused.
My answer was a simple "yes" and left it at that. I loved seeing that frustrated face. Honestly, it was fun being annoying. Cassedy is an anime weeb. That's fine... Untill you're bombarded with anime facts and spoilers. It gets annoying at some point. But then, everyone and everything gets annoying at some point.
Cassedy, annoyed, sighed. She then turned to the twins. "What's all the 'yes, yes, yessss'ing about? Because, unlike you, I don't speak yes. I speak english. You might have heard of it." She made hand movements that made it look like she was teaching toddlers how to dance.
Fortunately, we all knew how to speak sarcasm. "Sorry, never heard of it. Mind explaining it?" I asked.
"No."
"Oh, okay."
We all were silent. We were waiting for the silence to break, so I started humming. Julian decided he got bored, so he spoke.
"A random friend of his invited us to his house. Said it was going to be fun. I doubt it, but who am I to judge?"
I stared at him, confused. I got judged literally every time I did something dumb. But I guess that's what's so cool about him. He's unexpected.
Cassedy, with a confused look, asked, "And all of you knew?" Everyone nodded. "And you didn't tell me?" Everyone nodded. "How did I not find out about this?" Everyone nodded. "What's that supposed to mean?" Everyone shrugged. "Words, people. Tell in words."
I smiled. "I don't know. I think you're just that forgetful."
"I guess I am." She started walking off.
"Wait!" I called. "You must join the clan..." I wiggled my fingers to give a mysterious feel.
"Well, do I get ready?" she asked.
"Does it look like we're ready?" asked Julian. He had a dirty looking t-shirt, with some worn-out shorts. The twins had sweaty sweaters on. While I had a black hoodie with black pants.
"No?" Cassedy answered.
"Well, there's your answer." said Julian, matter-of-factly.
"Ok, so when is this friend coming?" she asked me.
"I don't know."
Our mother stepped out of the hallway. "Are you ready to go?" she asked in spanish.
"Yup" we all answered. A few minutes later came a knock on the door. My good ol' buddy, Davis, stood on the other side.
"You ready?" He asked. We all walked out and started following him to his home.
