What's happening in Ukraine-- the skyrocketing numbers of innocent women, children, and men dying each day makes me sick.
What makes me even more sick is the fact that Putin is so power-hungry that he'd take the lives of innocent people and ruin their land. What's the point of invading it, to take it for your own, if you're just going to destroy it?
I wish someone would see Putin for the corrupt, greedy, selfish person that he is and do something about it.
We have to help in every way that we can. Even if it means we can only do stuff to defend ourselves-- without fighting-- or donate money to the people and troops of Ukraine, then we need to do it. Every little bit counts right now.
If we take for granted the little things we can contribute, if we continue to believe-- some of us, anyway-- that this is so far off from our own lives that we don't need to do anything, we could potentially have another holocaust. Or something fairly close to it. It will still be lives lost. INNOCENT lives lost.
After everything we've been through with selfish, money and power-hungry leaders you'd think we'd have learned by now what to do and how to stop it before it gets out of hand.
It frustrates me to no end that diplomatic disputes end up affecting the citizens the most. We're the only reason these leaders are in power in the first place. We voted for them. Without us, they're nothing. If they kill all of us, they have no one to lead. Then what's the point?...
