Crucified bodies lined the avenue.The stench of rotting flesh assaulted their nostrils.
Horse drawn chariots raced up and down the busy path, un- mindful of pedestrian traffic.
Wine sellers hawked their wares.
Magnificent white spires reached towards heaven,their purpose unknown.
He and the American girl stood watching all this in wonder.
"New York must be like this,"she said,"I never got there,but I heard about it."
"He's mocking me,"the Captain said." This Zorrik fellow Strelky mentioned.He must have put this here to antagonize me.The Time Crystal enables him to create things out of raw atoms.This wasn't here a century ago.It was merely a collection of scientific sheds and a few shanties."
There were fights breaking out amongst the mobs in the streets.
The cyborgs swarmed in suddenly,killing people at random.The screams of the dying was nerve wracking,it reached a crescendo pitch that set your teeth on edge.

He was about to make a reply when she looked into the crowd,made a face and then bent over to pick up a stone from the street.
"It's that one son of a bitch,"she said."That crab guy."Before he could react she hurled the projectile and it bounced off of Krustayshuss harmlessly.The lobster was talking to the soldiers amongst the bodies lying in the street.
He looked their way and almost seemed to smirk.
"Well,if it ain't Little Miss Muffet and her butler,"he chuckled."I was wondering when you two would get here.You're both honored guest's at today's games.The Boss can't wait to meet you."
"You're a murderer,"Brail told him."You and these little creeps.What did these people do to you?"
"It's called law and order,little girl.Step outa line and you get smashed.These scum are acting up lately and it's getting out of hand."

The lobster growled in anger and swung a huge claw,knocking the girl senseless against a statue of Minerva.
Captain Space rushed to her side but a cyborg smashed him in the head with the butt end of a rifle.
He sank to his knees,stunned.
"That's enough,"Krustayshuss told the implacable guard."Get out of here."
Just then the wail of trumpets sounded.
"He's coming!"he shouted to the others hanging around."Clear the street!"
Brail and the scientist were promptly forgotten as they pushed citizens out of the avenue and others dragged corpses away.
An eight legged horse with a red feather head dress led the procession.
Behind it two Draks carried the double eagle standard.They looked like hippopotamus s except for the forked tail in back.
Creatures resembling stalks of celery suffered the burden of a palanquin,on top which sat a man with hawk like features and a hideous cyclopes monster seated next to him.
He was wearing the purple.
