Chapter 11
(Caden’s POV)
I don't know anymore, I mean Tyler is hanging out with the one person I care about most, is he trying to get back at me or something? Okay first let's start where it all began, where I was killed. Tyler shot me, our foster parents told him to so it looked like he had no hesitation in his eyes, I was there one second, the next one I heard screaming, crying and then it's gone. I wake up to this white place, it was like really bright.
“Welcome Caden Swartz.” A voice in front of me says, ``I look up and there's this angel, I mean what looked like one, “Welcome to heaven.”
“N-no, I can’t be here, I need to get back to my sister!” I say grabbing the angel by his hands and begging him to bring me back.
“The only way out is through God” He says patting my head and sympathy, I pull away from him and plead some more, I just really needed to get back to my sister.
“Where is he then?” I ask looking around till I see a tall golden gate, “Wait..I'm not even accepted into heaven am I?”
“No you are, we just need to let you in, I mean, you JUST died man..You already want to go back into that horrid world?”
“My sister is not safe with that monster!! I need to go back down there! I need to protect her!” I say
“She will be fine, now come on, let me show you around Caden Swartz.”
“Fine..” I say following him through the gate and into the world I guess I would have to call home. It was a really light hearted place, no fighting, no drinking, no cursing. It all seemed all sunshine and rainbows, literally, like I think I saw thirty rainbows in the first 3 minutes. THATS LIKE 10 RAINBOWS A MINUTE! Its whatever though, I mean, whats the point anymore? I can’t see Wolfy, so whats the point of even being here? I mean, I dont see anyone I know, anyone I like, nor family. There’s no point in even being happy, but no, everyone here is happy, is supposed to be happy. I couldnt stand it, how can I be happy when I just left the person that needed me most? I found out there was a place where you could watch your family from above. I visited that place every single day for 10 years, I watched Stormy through the hardest times and i missed her so much. I wish I couldve helped her to get through her pain. She struggled so much and talked to me a lot till she met Mars. When she met her Stormy suddenly stopped talking to me, it hurt a lot till I realized Mars was helping Wolfy in ways that was impossible for me. I was grateful Wolfy found someone but also jealous. Yeah, I know im a jealous person but just recently she met a full group of people and completely stopped talking to me, she even reunited with Tyler who ive been trying to keep away from her for so long! How dare he have the living audacity to even talk to my precious sister! I was so mad I started trying to escape, every single way I found possible I tried till they just kicked me out. I waited by the grave site that Stormy had made for me hoping she would rememeber me and come back to it. After weeks of sitting there and nearly crying myself back to death she came, I awoken to the sound of foot steps running through the alley way and looked up to see her. She was sobbing, I was behind some trash cans just in case people got the wrong idea and did weird things that humans do. She was talking to me, after all these years I heard it clear in my ears,
“Cay cay, I need you, I really really need you right now” She said through her tears, her voice beautiful to hear after so many years. Thats when I just HAD to reveal myself, she looked so scared when I touched her shoulder, almost frozen in shock, shaking wildly. She soon calmed down and when I talked to her she stopped shaking all together and turned around lightning fast. Her tears were back in her eyes and I wiped her tears. I never liked it when Wolfy cried, she was always a calm child, very easy to take care of unlike Tyler who always caused some kind of riot*I wouldn't be surprised if that was his favorite song. That is why Stormy had always been my favorite child, she always obeyed without question. Tyler would always question everything, even when I told to just get dressed cause it was cold, he would question it, it was so freaking annoying! Stormy was never like that, she was a good obedient girl, ultimately thats why I gave her the nickname Wolfy, but also because she was literally obsessed with wolves, like knew every little thing about them, their patterns, calls, literally everything. She would beg me to bring her to the library day after day to check out more books about them. Now that things have changed things that were ours had faded away *A Three Days Grace song
Well, the nickname Wolfy had at least stuck around long enough for me to get back. The thing is now I have to try to get along with my murderer, i’ll try this but I know it isnt going to be easy. Stormy suggested me and Tyler go out to eat dinner, I tried to reject the suggestion but Tyler was estatic to go. I guess he really wanted my forgiveness. I hated walking with him to Grillby’s, he wouldnt stop talking about his time with Wolfy, but one thing he mentioned briefly was going hell. So he got what he deserved, but the question is how did he escape, why is he here? We get seated at a table and Tyler looks at me like he’s expecting me to talk.
“So, how’d you get into hell?” I ask, I was genuinely wondering.
“O-oh, I got kidnapped trying to find a cure for Stormy..” He replies

I was confused at all this,
“I thought you’ve been watching us man, we were experimented on, I was turned into a Fallen Angel Wolf Hybrid and Stormy into a Angel Wolf Hybrid. The experiments were hurting her, she was getting sick so I left one night to meet up with this dude who said they would help her, but they ended up kidnapping me for my powers and when I helped him I fell in love with him, then I came back and have been with her ever since. Ive only been with her for a few months though.” He says looking down at his drink, I saw that he was leaving some parts out, what was he not telling me?
“Your not telling me something Tyler, I can tell, your fidgeting, you used to do that a lot when you were keeping stuff from us.”
“W-well, the experiments also made me sick, almost dying type, but the thing is, I am not the same Tyler you left with, i’m the Tyler thats been through years in torture to fight for my sister, so why wont you just forgive me?!” He was semi-yelling at this point, was he this desperate for my forgiveness? Why did I even still hold this grudge against him? Its been so many years, I think its time to forgive him somewhat.
“I didn’t forgive you because your the one to take me away from my sister, but I find no reason to hold that against you still, you have obviously been through a lot to help our sister. So I guess I can somewhat forgive you now.” I said smiling back at him, “I think its time to make some good memories with my little brother.” He stood up like lightning quick, i’m hoping thats a side effect of the experiments cause DUDE that was fast! He tackles me in a hug and I almost fall out of my chair, I laughed at him and hugged him back, “You okay Ty?”
“Yeah!! I just love that youve forgiven me now!”
“Not fully, but what you did for Stormy, theres no reason to hold a grudge against you still” I say patting his head and motioning him to go back to his seat. He sits down and blushes in embarrassment.
“So, how are you Ty? I mean it has been awhile since we’ve had a one on one.”
“Yeah, cause you would always fight with me about something Caden, it got too much so I just stopped talking to you and talked to Stormy instead cause she was young and wouldn fight her older brothers.” He says a flash of guilt flashed through his eyes for a split second before returning to normal. He orders his food which is just a cheeseburger and I ordered the hot dog. We get our food after talking back and forth for a bit, but when I ordered a hot dog, I didnt expect it TO BE ON FIRE! I looked up at Grillby,
“I ordered a hot dog, not a fire dog.” I say laughing a bit before going all serious on him. He didnt say anything but the words seemed to be all there, like him saying you get what you get, deal with it, “I just want meat, not fire man.” I say getting a little annoyed. Tyler touches my shoulder for me to calm down, his eyes seemed worried that a fight was about to break out. I take a deep breath, and look at Grillby again, “Thanks for the food Grillbs..” I say taking a bite of the hotdog, the fire ceased immediately, and it actually tasted really good. I didnt expect, I saw Grillby smirk and Tyler was trying to hold in a laugh.
“Whats wrong with you two?” I say between bites, Tyler wipes a tear from his face from trying to hold in his laugh.
“Its just that you havent eaten for years, many things have changed, you dont notice that this whole place is filled with monsters and you expect a normal hot dog from a guy that his head is legit fire?” He says finally bursting out in laughter, I blush in embarrassment and look around, Tyler was right, there wasnt a single human in here, including me. It was different then from when I was alive, since when did the world accept this stuff? I dont know anymore too much has changed, I mean, since when did Tyler be nice to people? I’m not complaining its just different, when I was alive he was in so many gangs and everything and somehow never got caught. He was in so much trouble back home, I never could find enough punishments and then he would bring up how Mom and Dad died and I wasnt his parent. Oh yeah, yall dont know that story, I might as well tell y’all before you question Stormy. I was like…13 when they died, Stormy was an infant and Tyler was 10, We were at the movies, we had a house then and didnt have to live on the streets like rats. We had a nice house and our parents were really kind to us, I had taken a huge liking to Stormy, she was my favorite, so small and innocent I vowed to take care of her forever. While walking down the street after the movie a guy approached me and Tyler wondering if we had money on us, we politely declined and said no, but the guy got more frantic. He asked more aggressively and we rejected once more, he pulled a gun out on us and I told Tyler to take Stormy and run, but our parents saw what was happening and ran to our side. Mom set Stormy with me and she was crying, the man pointed the gun to my Mom and told her not to move and give him her purse, she obeyed and he shot her, he had no reason to, why didnt he let her go? Why did he kill her? In the moment we all ran and I heard another gun shot and Dad dropped dead and bleeding on the ground, all I heard was a scream from Stormy and a sound of wind and the man was dead. I dont know who did it, but they saved our life that night. I owe my life to that mystery person all I saw was a gleam of blue eyes and they winked at us and disappeared into the night. Stormy was still crying and I led her back to the house and took care of them.
“Mom and Dad arent coming home are they?” Tyler asks tears in his eyes, I shook my head sadly and he ran to his room slamming the door and I heard him sobbing. After I got Stormy asleep I knocked on his door and went in, he was asleep but the streaks of tears going down his face was really visible. I grabbed a tissue and gently wiped his face and tucked him comfortably in his bed and turned off the light. Now you many be asking, ‘How did you end up on the street then?’ Well thats easy, soon we couldnt pay the pills cause I was too young to even get a job. We had to leave cause they took the house from us, they tried putting us up for adoption but I didnt want us to get separated to I ran with Tyler and Stormy and found an alleyway that would be comfortable for us to live in for the time being. I planned on getting a job but I was always busy taking care of those two I decided we would just live there until I found a home. When we all got older I got into a gang that did not fight with weapons or anything and I would take Stormy with me trusting that Tyler was old enough to take care of himself. She learned self defense, and how to protect others. Soon I found a home for us with these really nice people, or so I thought. They became mean towards us and started to abuse the three of us, I guess they were scientists as well from what Tyler and Stormy reported to me. I was so upset by the news when Tyler told me the whole story. I felt like hurting them, how could I trust them for them to do that to me? I hated myself for bringing Tyler and Stormy to that,
“Caden, are you okay? Your crying!”
“I-I am?” I say feeling my face, my hand felt the hot tears on my cheeks and I wipe them from my face quickly, “Y-yeah im find Ty, dont worry about me, I am just glad your safe!!” I say this time letting the tears go down my face but smiling through them. Tyler has a look of shock on his face and then he smiles,
“Thank you Cay Cay!!” He exclaims, we decide to pay and go to the park. As we approach the park some on Tyler’s old gang approaches him.
“You Tyler, we thought you were dead! Where have you been?”
“Not with you thats for sure, I thought I told you guys I quit! I need to take care of my sister not get her hurt again.”
“Well we said if you joined us again we wouldnt hurt your sister again”
“No..You cant do that~” I say creepily smiling at them eyes glowing a deep blue. Tyler looks at me with shock.
“Oh Yeah? What are you gonna do about it freak?”
“Oh~ I might break every limb in your body~ I might just send you to the hospital~” I say looking indecisive. I smile and they back up a bit.
“Who even are you? You cant do ---- to us!” They say bringing out a switch blade. I lift one finger and one of the dudes start choking, he falls to the ground and continues till I put my finger back down and he coughs up blood. Tyler looks at me in terror and shock, he backs up a bit. When I calmed down I looked at the sight more closely and apologized to the dudes and healed the one coughing up blood. Stormy was there a second after, she looked around confused and the other guys ran. She hugged us both, Tyler and I smile at each other,
“I'm so glad we all get along now!! I have my family back!” Stormy says her tears gentle on her face as she smiles.
