Chapter 6
(Tyler POV)
So I don’t know how everyone else does this point-of-view thing but I guess I just write down how I see things and my feelings? I guess so, lets start with why I left Wolfy so long ago, it’s a long story so just perfect I guess. So it all started with me flying out the window as Wolfy said. That was true but she had not known why I did it. About a week earlier I got a message from what people call “hell.” I did not know this at the time but the message said “I can fix you and your family, meet me in the park” So I decided to listen for Stormy’s sake. I flew out the window and that’s when it all started. I met this dude and his name was Alastor. He looked a bit different from normal people but I dismissed that. I was only worried about getting Wolfy and I fixed. We talked for a bit, and he led me away from the park a bit towards his car which was really cool by the way! It was a 2007 Blue Lambo and dude was an impressed. This dude didn’t look old enough nor wealthy enough to be driving this good of a car. Anyway, off the topic of that hot car. He asks me to get in, as I do so he hands me a drink some kind of wine or champagne, I don’t know never had any. As I drink whatever he gave me he smiles at me. “Where you from kid?” He says too enthusiastic for my taste, but hey! Whatever fixes me and Stormy’s problem.
“The streets” I say as I suddenly I got the overwhelming feeling of exhaustion, the last thing I saw was the alastor dude smiling at me in this…weird smile. I woke up in this strange place, these demonic looking people walking around and or looking at me, I was so confused. Suddenly I see this dude, he has some kind of like staff with a microphone kind of head. He looked like a demonic wolf thing.
“Well Hello Tyler, welcome to Your Worst Nightmare” The dude says creepily. I get up hella fast. “W-who the heck even are you?! Why am I here? Wheres Alastor?” I ask rapid fire questions. The dude looks at me and laughs heartily. This dude sounds like he on some radio station or something the way his voice comes out.
“I Am Alastor pathetic human, you’re here cause I brought you here.” He says grinning wide showing his sharp yellow teeth, they glowed as he talked. “W-why did you bring me here? Take me back to my sister!” I yell at him but he covers my mouth quickly putting his staff to my chest. “If you know whats good for you Tyler boy youll keep it down okay?!” He hisses at me looking around in dismay, “Were in literal hell, I brought you here cause you’re the only one who can help me.” He whispers in my ear slowly uncovering my mouth. His staff was still on my chest as I lay there.
“Yeah, and what do you want me to do about it? Im just trying to save my sister! Ive done enough damage!” I say and the dude just stands there thoughtfully. Until he just looked and smiled at me,
“Come with me kiddo!” He says lifting his staff off me and pulling me up. I get up and follow him down the streets, it seemed everywhere I turned there was chaos in someway shape or form. I didn’t know what to do so I stayed close to this Alastor dude. We soon make it to this big hotel looking building with a sign on top saying “Hazbin Hotel” Alastor just goes up to the door bursting in like he owns the place. I see this actually nice looking girl greet him anxiously and she look around him directly at me. “Oh! Whos this Al?” She says excitedly as she runs at me inspecting me up and down. I got really uncomfortable fast. “Just some kid I found on the street” He responds waving me off like im just some trash but smiles jokingly. Soon another dude comes out, look a bit feminine but they were a- a SPIDER?! “Yo Al? did you steal the booz- ohhh~ Who do we have here?” The guy asks, walking up to me and leaning down, “The names Angel Dust sweetheart, you looking for a good time?” He says winking at me.
“W-what is this place?!” I say, ever since I had got here I had not had a break to process everything. All I need is a break, and that’s what I did. I broke free from them and ran. I ran from everything, anything. All I needed was to run and be free from this place. I started to spread my wings to fly away but as soon as I left the ground something knocks me right back down again. I hit the ground sliding all the way to Alastors feet. “Where do you think your going kid?” He says frowning at me, “Don’t you know what kind of danger you can get into showing off your form like that?” I scramble back to my feet and just stare at him. What did I get myself into? How do I get out of this place? Soon the spider thing comes up to me, “Hey..kid, I know you don’t know me but im AngelDust. We’re not gonna hurt you just calm down sweetheart.” He says touching my shoulder lightly with one of his arms. I calm down a little and just look up at him, “Why am I here? I just want to go back to Wolfy!” I say tears starting to well up in my eyes.
“Hey, calm down, whos Wolfy?” AngelDust asks.
“She’s my sister…she is like me, but not exactly, we were experimented on by our foster parents and made into…freaks.” I explain tears going down my face as I explain the story, “T-then I killed our big brother, the only one who took care of us all these years…They pressured me to it. I didn’t want to, I didn’t mean to. He was just there…dead.” I say looking down pulling at my hair. I feel a hand touch my shoulder and pull me into a hug. It was Alastor, “Hey Kid, its gonna be okay, your gonna see your sister again, you just need to stay with us for awhile.” He says as I relax in his arms, for some reason his embrace felt, somewhat calming. I stop fighting that my fate has brought me down to the underground and finally accept it. I spent a lot of time in that hotel and met a lot of weird people. I even met some famous people, but they seemed changed. Everything was always so violent in that place, so much drugs, blood, etc etc. Youd think it was the purge down there. It mustve been months, if not it sure felt like it.
“So, Tyler, you ready?” Alastor says to me one day after breakfast, “I mean you’ve gotten used to all of the things of this place, I think your ready.”
“Ready for what Al?” I ask confused, it had been awhile since he had sounded this serious.
“Ready to save us from those angels that kill us every year, its tomorrow you know. I feel you’re the only one who can save all of us.” He explains. So that’s why he brought me down here, he thought I could fix the harm that came to these demons every single year.
“Why do you think I can help you?”
“Easy kiddo! That’s because you’re the gap between heaven and down here, you’re a fallen angel. How could you not know?” He asks looking at my wings and smirking.
“I- I don’t know Al, its just, never thought of it.” I defended myself as he gets closer.
“Its okay Ty, now come on, its tomorrow at 12 sharp, you need rest.” He says holding my chin in his hand and he walks by winking. I do not know why he did that but it sure made me blush, he had never done that before. I stood there for awhile and started to walk upstairs to what had become my room. I open the door to see AngelDust in there. He seemed like something important was on his mind.
“Angel, what are you doing in here?” I ask sitting on the bed beside him, AngelDust turns towards me looking at me dead in the eye with intense seriousness.
“Do you know what your getting into sugar?” He asks a hint of sympathy in his voice as he holds me by my shoulders, “It’s a dangerous place out there, especially with the fighting, im lucky to have last that long..what if you die, I mean with how much Al talks about you he might tear the whole place apart if you were to get hurt out there!” AngelDust goes on, he just seemed worried and needed to get a lot off his chest. I go in for a hug and he accepts it, I felt like my limbs were gonna break but soon got used to it. Angel calms down as hot tears run down his face, I wipe his face and look at him.
“Ill be alright Angel, but please explain what you mean about Al tearing this place up if I got hurt.” I say confused about what he had said.
“O-oh! Nothing kid!” AngelDust says getting up fast and walking out the door, but not before turning back to face me saying, “Thanks kid, you’ve helped me a lot, all of us.” He says walking out and shutting the door. I plop on the bed and take in everything, I know nothing about fighting or defending, all I know is tomorrow is a big day and if I fail ill never see Wolfy again.
Tomorrow was there before I knew it, it felt like yesterday was just a dream. All I know is Alastor waking me up urgently and telling me to get dressed. I listened to him and got dressed in a hoodie I got from Wolfy for my birthday a few years back, it was a little tight now but I squeezed into it, if I died today, I wanted to wear something important. I jumped into some black jeans and walked downstairs into the hotel lobby.
“Morning Ty!” AngelDust says trying to make light of the obvious dark mood in the room.
“Morning AngelDust, Morning Al!” I said matching his enthusiasm, Alastor waved nervously as I walked to the bar and sat down, we sat there in silence for awhile everybody just staring at the ground.
“So, what’s the plan?” I say breaking the silence, Alastor stands up and walks over to me,
“You’re a fallen angel Ty, your special down here, people would easily kill to even have you. You’re also the bridge between here and heaven. That is why you can help us, you can settle peace down here, talk to the big man up there or help us fight down here.” He says as he gets close to me, “J-just whatever you do kid, don’t get hurt, for my sake at least, if you when this battle, I’ll let you see your dear sister again if you promise to visit.” He says blushing a bit as he touches my face. I lean my head into his hand to comfort him and I stand up and nod as an agreement. He hugs me and whispers “I love you” in my ear before letting go and walking away like nothing happened. I blushed at this but shook it off to look tough, “Okay so when does this thing start?” I ask looking at my watch, it was roughly 10:30
“It starts at noon but were leaving now so that we can get a head start.” AngelDust says while getting on some gloves and a pair of guns, “I just want to pump some lead in those angels faces.”
“H-heh calm down angel, ive been here now for years and haven’t seen you this aggressive.” I say laughing a bit
“That’s because you don’t see me outside of this hotel sugar, Al doesn’t let you out.” AngelDust says jokingly, “How long have you been here again?”
“Five to six years now” I respond thinking back through the years, they had gone by so fast I hadn’t even thought about it. Everyone that was in this hotel was close to me now, I would even consider family. I had more laughs here than I ever did up in the main world. As I am lost in thought I feel a hand on my shoulder, it was (Fill in Name) she was looking down at me with sympathetic eyes, “Hey Ty, you’ll do great! You’ll save us, I believe in you!” She says smiling her sweet smile down at me.
We were outside looking up at the downtown clock, it was half past eleven, it was almost time for me to go. I get my wings ready flexing them a bit. “YO KID!” Alastor says in his over enthusiastic voice, “Be safe out there” He smiles at me as I take off towards the sky. It was a long time before I reached the gate of where heaven was, as I approached the gate this..angel girl confronted me,
“Who may you be?” She asked in a happy voice, a little too happy for my taste, like happier than Al’s voice.
“M-my name is Tyler, Tyler Swartz.” I respond nervous about all this,
“Oh you, get in here kid.” She says a little less happy but still cheery, as the gate opens I walk inside. It took me a little bit as I walked through a street of literal gold and buildings like freaking mansions, I thought I was in one of those like rich cities. I finally reached this temple like building, as I walked in a saw a throne with this big light coming from it. I covered my eyes from the bright light and as it died down a saw this dude, he was kinda young and all, I checked my watch it was 11:45. I have 15 minutes to convince this dude of mercy.
“Ah! Tyler, what brings you here child?” He asks leaning towards me
“I-I came to try to convince you to not kill the demons again!” I said trying to be confident. I felt my body shaking a bit as he looked at me his look getting serious.
“Ah Tyler, im sorry but no can do, they get overpopulated and then chaos will happen.” He says frowning down at me, “What do you find in them anyway? They just sin galore down there”
“T-theyre not that bad!! They can actually be very cool!” I argure.
“So you’ve been down there child?”
“Y-yeah, ive been there for 5 to 6 years now sir.” I explain, he looks at me with a bit of disappointment and says calmly,
“Tyler, you’re a good kid, you know what you’ve done in your past, I know what you’ve done, it may be bad, but why do you choose them over eternity in heaven child?”
“Because, ive found some genuine people there, people who care about me unlike the people in the main world! People who actually love me.” I explain confidentally. As soon as he heard that he relaxed a bit, I saw him chuckle a bit for a fraction of a second.
“Okay Tyler, you know I cant do what your asking, but sense your one of some of the most powerful being down there and up here, ill offer my hand to join me.”
“Im sorry sir, but I must decline, and now I must leave. I will see you some other day.” I say walking out of the temple and down back to the gate. I fly back down to the underworld and Alastor greets me anxiously, “Howd it go?” He asks,
“He didn’t agree, its time to fight..” I say checking my watch, I saw it was one minute to twelve. Me and the rest of the gang get in battle position, I spread my wings one last time as the clock clicked down the seconds left till noon. As the clock rang everything fell silent, the noon bell was the only thing heard in the whole underworld as we saw the gates open and these beastly angelic creatures fly down. Suddenly I hear gun shots and a lot of words that I shall not say for the sake of eyes. Alastor hands me this some kind of sword that was supposed to be powerful. I grab it and fly into the air towards the army of angels coming our way. I start swinging at some of them and sometimes even killing them. They were falling down like birds in the sky. No matter how much we kept shooting and killing them though they seemed to just keep on coming, how do they deal with this every year?! Alastor always kept me inside the hotel and hidden when it happened, this is the first one he let me participate in. I fly higher up in the sky to see what all we are dealing with and saw where they started. We were almost half way through the army! I started to celebrate when suddenly I felt a pain to my chest, it was sharp and I looked down to see a smiling face of an angel looking down on me, its sword through my chest.
“Looks like your victory was short lived traitor.” The angel said, “Remember the name of Lane, for he is the one who shall take your life here, and now.” I pulls his sword out of my chest and I feel myself fall out of the sky, Everything went blanks and all I hear is Alastor screaming my name as I hit the ground.
I wake to the sound of voices, I open my eyes to see Alastor, AngelDust, and (Fill in the Blank).
“Y-Your awake!” Alastor exclaims as he hugs me, I wince a bit as I feel the pain in my chest, more mild this time though.
“Yeah, what happened? Did we win?” I ask getting up frantically.
“Yes Tyler! We couldn’t have done it with out you, now rest now…I wanna show you something later!” Alastor says kissing my forehead gently and laying me back down. I blushed a bit as he does this and decide to sleep a bit longer.
I wake up the next morning feeling barely any pain, nobody was there to greet me this time to I decide to get up and walk downstairs. I see Alastor on the couch and AngelDust at the bar, I guess the others were gone. I walk up to Alastor, “So you said you wanted to show me something yesterday?” I ask blushing a bit, he was in his human form, I found it cute.
“Yeah, come on!” He says grabbing my hand and pulling me out the door. He turns down multiple streets as soon were at this field kind of place, to be honest, it was really beautiful, “This is where I come when im stressed” He says smiling at the sky. I look at him and he seems more calm than ever, suddenly he turns to me, “Tyler, you’ve been here for 6 years now, and I need to say..i have developed feelings for you..” He says blushing as he pulls me closer to him.
“W-what?” I say blushing like crazy.
“Oh, you must not feel the same he says he hand letting go of me and a frown came upon his face.
“Oh my goodness Al, are you stupid or what?” I say laughing and looking up at him touching his cheek with my hand.
“What do you mean Ty?” He says confused but blushing.
“Of course I feel the same dummy, your my demon, ill be your angel.” As I say that he pulls me into a tight hug and kisses me passionately.
We stay like that for a bit before he breaks it, whispering in my ear,
“I love you my perfect angel.” I blush and kiss him on the cheek,
“I love you too my demon.”
After all that, we started dating. He would let me see Wolfy every now and then but I never got up enough courage to say hi to her, everytime id come back Al would encourage me to try again next time. I could only see her once every 3 months, a portal would open to the main world where I could see her. I had just finally worked the courage to see her today, and im happy I did. Im glad she found her some friends, I hope she forgave me, but it doesn’t change that I do miss Alastor right now, I hope he comes to see me. I call him every now and then to check in on him, sometimes he even refuses to let me off the phone but he promised to come up here next time the portal opened. Well theres my story guys, I hope yall enjoyed, its complicated but now yall will understand.
