Guatemalan granizadas may look disgusting to foreigners who visit because of the “dirt” that’s on top of some of them. That’s not dirt, it’s a spice kinda like tajin but it’s not spicy and it’s less salty, I don’t remember the name of it but if anyone knows make sure to leave it in the comments.
Oh and, if you see things like this (*number) than that means it’s a Spanish word that I’ll translate at the end

Back when I was little (about 5 yrs old) there was a man who we’re gonna call “Granizada Emo Baddie” because that’s how cool he was (he’s not dead btw) and he would walk around the neighborhood yelling, “Granizadas, granizadas, granizadas con v8!”(1) Everyone in the neighborhood would run out their doors like it was the end of the world with either Q 10 (1.27 USD) for a small granizada, or Q 17 (2.17 USD) for a large one (maybe more if you were buying more than one.) My family was broke asf so sometimes it would usually take me and my cousins 2-4 minutes to convince our single moms to give us Q 10. When we would finally managed to get our Q 10, by the time we would get outside, Granizada Emo Baddie would almost be on his way back so he was basically leaving. Me and my cousins would run like our lives depended on it, we always got our granizadas though. Also, this is basically how the conversation would go like.
(all of this counts as (2) btw)
Granizada Emo Baddie- “Hola mija, que necesita?”
Me- “ Hola! Me puede vender una granizada chiquita?”
Granizada Emo Baddie- “Claro que si! Aqui tiene, que tenga buen dia!”
Me- “Gracias!”

Anyways, I hope Granizada Emo Baddie is doing well, hopefully he’s making a lot of the green if yk what I mean because he honestly deserves it, you go get your coins man. Speaking of the green, at least Granizada Emo Baddie wasn’t like somebody who charged Q 31.39 (4.00 USD) for a small granizada, si, estoy hablando de ti, tu sabes quien eres (3). That’s it for the granizadas, if you wanna know more about my country, just ask and I’ll write about it, Bye!
