Ashylnn gripped his shoulders as she cried, Damon’s muscles stiffened and tensed as he processed the words.
“Ashy...look at me” he said, she hiccuped and looked up at him meeting his gorgeous blue eyes “it’ll be alright...how about tomorrow...we go look for him...okay?” He asked, ashylnn nodded and smiled slightly before they locked lips gently.
Ashylnn yawned as she flipped over her eyes fluttering open to the sound of slow relaxed breathing, “morning...” Damon whispered locking eyes with her, she smiled “morning”
Damon yawned and messed with her hair a bit before getting up and walking over to use the bathroom, ashylnn sighed sitting upright and ran her fingers through her hair before getting up and noticing a picture of her and Damon as kids.
He was scrawnier and thin then his hair curly with blonde streaks mixed in with the brown, ashylnn was shorter with blonde hair and a small petite body. They were both smiling like idiots while spraying each other with a hose, that’s when she noticed it.
There was a journal sitting under the desk like it had fallen with a page torn out, she raised an eyebrow before picking it up along with the journal and reading it.

Ashylnn stared at the letter as her whole mind raced
‘why didn’t he tell me?’
‘He’s gonna be so far away...’
“Ashylnn?”
‘How am I gonna deal with this?’
‘I can’t live without him...’
“Ashy...”
‘He can’t trust me with this?’
“Ash.”
Damon’s voice snapped and then she whipped towards him “why didn’t you tell me?” She snapped, he stared.
“what?”
“Why didn’t you tell me you got accepted into Harvard?” She asked holding back tears, his eyes widened as he glanced at the letter in her hand before he sighed and frowned “I was going to but...I couldn’t...” he said.
Ashylnn’s eye twitched and she slammed the letter down before grabbing her bag and walking towards the door “where are you going?” He asked, she stopped and glared “I’m leaving to find my brother. Alone.” She said.
“Ash listen! I was going to tell you!” He shouted after her as he followed her down the spiral staircase, she whipped around “really?! Then why haven’t you told me when it’s literally two days away!! Is it because all of a sudden you can’t trust me?!” She yelled.
Damon could basically feel the aura of her blood boiling and her anger rising, “no ash it’s not because I don’t trust you! I do trust you I just didn’t know how to tell you!” He said trying to stay calm.
She shook her head “yeah whatever.” She snapped before going to turn away.
“You know...I wish we could go back...to when we were young...we never got into arguments...the council didn’t exist, popularity wasn’t an issue. Now...now I can’t even been seen with you because the council will ruin your reputation. Why did you join the council. Why did you avoid me when I said “I love you”. As far as I know. Your the one that doesn’t trust me.” He explained holding back the pit in his throat before he shook his head in disbelief and walked back upstairs.
Ashlynn frowned before hearing a crash from upstairs and frowning, she looked around for a moment taking in the sight of the images of his family and her and him before walking over to the counter and grabbing the keys to his teal and white convertible and leaving his house.
She looked at the convertible and sighed as she climbed in turning on the ignition when her phone dinged and she looked down to see she had an email from Full Sail University. Her eyes widened as she juggled her phone in her hands and she scanned the message.

She stared before squealing “YES!” She shouted causing the blinds of Damon’s window to open and he glanced out curiously before seeing her in his car and his eyes widened, she blew him a kiss before driving off.

Ashylnn threw her suitcases into the backseat of the convertible before waving to her mom and dad and climbing in, she checked her phone before shutting it off and pulling out of the driveway.
Damon sighed as he sat in the common room of the Harvard dormitory reading a book when his phone dinged, he looked at the notification and frowned before clicking on it. It was ashylnn sticking her tongue out playfully while the wind of the car blew her hair back, he scoffed quietly and smiled slightly before he read the text at the bottom.
‘OFF TO FLORIDA!!’
He stiffened before throwing his phone to the side as a girl walked in, “hey Damon, ready for the concert?” She asked with a smile, Damon grinned and stood up wrapping his arms around her waist.
“I’m always ready when it’s with you”
