Later that day, it was time for gym class and we were all outside. Coach Shin decided to let some of us play soccer while the rest were free to talk and hang around as long as we didn't cause a ruckus. I was still sad about early this morning when I confessed my feelings to Yoon Yi and he coldly shot me down. All my life, I've been a loner and I stayed away from people. I never made friends, I never tried to get close to anyone and I was terrified of liking someone so this is the first time that I've ever felt something for Yoon Yi and he shot me down as if I was nothing. It hurts so much, but I don't want to seem weak to anybody. Not even Kim Lee so after that incident earlier, I stayed quiet and didn't talk to anyone.
I sat down on the grassy hill and watched as a group of guys stood on the field to play soccer. Kim Lee was one of them. I wasn't really all that excited about watching Kim Lee play because I was still wounded. Yoon Yi is currently talking to Joon Chi, but i'm not in the mood to look at him. How can you look at the person who rejected you anyways?
"Hey, Hae Jin, why don't you play with us?" Kim Lee asked as he ran up to me.
I shook my head, not looking at him. "No thanks."
Kim Lee pouted then grabbed my hand and started pulling me up.
"C'moooooooooon. It'll be fun and it'll get your mind off of you know who." He said with a smile.
I sighed then shrugged. "Fine.."
"Great!" He said then dragged me over to the field.
All I did was stand there while people passed the ball around then I slowly looked over Yoon Yi to see him chuckling and smiling like nothing happen at all.
I guess he really never cared for me at all. He lied about saying he did.
"Hey! Watch out!" Someone shouted.
"Hae Jin!" Kim Lee shouted.
I looked back over to see what the commotion is all about when at the speed of light, the soccer ball came flying towards me and hit me hard in the face. The impact from the ball caused me to collapse onto the field.
"Hae Jin!" Kim Lee shouted then knelt down beside me.
"I'm...I'm fine..." I said as I tried to sit up.
"Hey, are you okay?" A voice asked.
I looked up to see a guy I didn't recognize. He had short red hair and looked awfully mysterious. I stared at him for a minute before the pain settled in and I held onto my nose, feeling the blood gush out.
"Ow..."
"Let me help you up." The guy said then he wrapped my arm around his neck and helped me stand up. "I'll take you to the nurse okay?" He said.
I quickly pushed myself away from him. "I can walk." I said.
"Then let's go." He said then grabbed onto my wrist and started pulling me away from everybody.

When we got to the infirmary, me and the mystery guy sat on the bed and I let the nurse clean my nose up then she placed a bandage on the bridge of my nose.
"Be careful next time okay?" She said then walked away.
I sighed as I gently touched my nose then flinched from the pain.
"Maybe you shouldn't touch it." He said.
I looked over at him and glared before looking away.
"Thanks..." I mumbled.
The guy smiled and nodded. "You're welcome. My name is Han Kang Woo. You're Park Hae Jin right?" He asked.
I nodded. "Yeah. I'm that emo kid..."
Kang Woo chuckled softly. "I don't think you're emo. Besides, people like to make jokes. Just ignore them."
I nodded then looked at him. I studied his face for a moment before speaking again.
"You seem a bit familiar. You were in gym class on swim day. Coach called your name out."
Kang Woo nodded. "That's me. It's terrible that you almost drowned, though. It's a good thing Yoon Yi was there to quickly save you." He said.
"Do you know Yoon Yi?" I asked.
Kang Woo smiled softly then looked away and sighed. "Yeah. We used to be friends."
"What happen?" I asked.
Kang Woo shrugged. "Just something that happen. Me, Yoon Yi and Joon Chi were all best friends. We've been friends since middle school. Something happen during our first year of high school and I split up from them. Now, we barely talk at all." He explained.
I stared at Kang Woo, surprised and not sure how to feel about his situation.
"Wow. Do you want to become their friends again?" I asked.
Kang Woo shook his head. "No. I don't think our friendship can be rekindled."
"Anyways..." He said then stood up. "Let's head back to class."
I nodded then stood up and walked out of the infirmary with Kang Woo. Today, I've been feeling so shitty and I didn't want to talk to anyone, but after talking to Kang Woo, I feel much better. He's no Yoon Yi, but i'm sure he knows how it feels to be hurt by Yoon Yi. They were friends after all.
