Field Day came around and everybody has been pretty excited about not having to go to class at all for the rest of the day. At first, I wasn't too stoked about Field Day since i'll mostly just sit around and watch Kim Lee play soccer, but once he told me about seeing Yoon Yi more, I guess I kinda feel a bit happy. Since Yoon Yi is a third year and i'm a first year, we don't really see each other much. We only see each other during gym class and at lunch, but that's pretty much it and it'll be nice to see more of him. I know Kim Lee is definitely excited about watching Joon Chi play a sport.
For a few days last week, Kim Lee has been practicing soccer with a group of kids so they can be ready for Field Day today. Kim Lee begged me to sign up for a sport, but I flat out told him no. I can't really do sports and I don't want to look like an idiot in front of Yoon Yi. Once me and Kim Lee finished changing into our school gym uniform which consists of a plain white t-shirt and dark green sweat pants, we headed out to the field so we can watch the gym coach and a couple other students set up the sports.
"Ah~ Field Day. I can't wait to get started. What about you, Hae Jin?" Kim Lee said.
I shrugged. "I guess."
The both of us walked down the steps and I looked up to see the guys setting up, but one guy in particular caught my eye. I didn't know that Yoon Yi was gonna help set up along with Joon Chi.
"Oh look. There's the guys right now. I guess Coach asked them to help set up." Kim Lee said with a smile.
I couldn't stop staring at Yoon Yi. Even though he's just picking up and moving things around, he looks really cute while doing it. Then I saw him run his fingers through his long hair and took a sip of his water. I started to feel my heart thumping in my chest.
"Hae Jin," Kim Lee called.
"Huh?" I said, tearing my eyes away from Yoon Yi to look at Kim Lee.
"You were staring at Yoon Yi weren't you?" He asked with a grin.
I sighed and rolled my eyes. "Was not...I was just...watching everybody set up..."
"Uh huh...Come on. Let's sit down." He said then started walking over to the grassy hill and found a place to sit down.
I followed after Kim Lee and sat down next to him then continued watching the guys set up, watching Yoon Yi more than ever.

Finally, the day got started and the field became more crowded. Now all you can see is a sea of boys that are all wearing the same exact gym uniform. Me and Kim Lee continued to sit in our regular seat so we can see everybody clearly.
"I think the first sport they're gonna do is track right now. After is soccer then volleyball then baseball, I believe." Kim Lee said.
I nodded. "Do you know what sport Yoon Yi and Joon Chi are gonna do?" I asked.
Kim Lee shrugged. "Not sure. They might do volleyball. Who knows. It'll be interesting to see them both hit a ball huh?" He said then winked.
I looked over at the track field and watched as a few boys lined up to start their sprinting portion of track. Then next was high jumping and ect. I didn't really pay much attention since I was more focused on watching Yoon Yi.
"You're staring at him again." Kim Lee spoke up.
I sighed and looked away. "Am not..."
"Okay then. You can keep denying it all you want~" Kim Lee teased.
I pouted, focusing my attention on the runners again. I really didn't want to admit to liking Yoon Yi because it isn't true. He's just a classmate that I barely see. Besides, even if there was a possible way for me and Yoon Yi to start dating, it won't last since this is Yoon Yi's last year in high school. Next year, he'll leave and probably go to college while i'm stuck here for another two years.
"Don't you ever get afraid that you'll never see Joon Chi again after he leaves high school?" I asked.
Kim Lee shrugged. "Yeah, but there's nothing I can do. I guess all I can do right now is just enjoy watching him while he's still in high school like I am right now." He said.
I nodded, admiring Kim Lee's acceptance. I know that Kim Lee wishes to have his first kiss with Joon Chi and I know he really wishes to date Joon Chi before he leaves school, but it seems all too impossible.
