Zack stood on one of the palace’s balconies, taking in the view. He leaned on the guardrail, breathing in the fresh air and thinking through his thoughts peacefully. Then, abruptly and out of nowhere, he shot up straight, summoned a pair of binoculars, and aimed them at the sun, almost as if there was something… wrong with it.

And to be quite frank, there was. Zack lowered the binoculars from his face and gasped softly, like someone realising that they were supposed to do something two weeks ago. Though that was literally the reason for his surprise, the specific thing he forgot to do was not as you’d expect.

The sun, fists and all, was fighting the outer decimation ring.

Crisp suit and all, Zack screeched to a halt in front of the European Society of Nations Building, Hezago descending likewise with his umbrella, landing with a soft click a few paces away. Also in a suit, he had white gloves to complement it, but his hair was an absolute mess, as if he hadn't slept for days- the most likely reason. He turned and met Zack’s eyes, and the two smiled at each other, nodding thereafter, both knowing the mistake they probably made.

And the door slammed open once again, signalling another Galaxian excursion to the Society of Nations. Its members were very much startled, but they simply watched Hezago and Zack make their way to the central podium, waiting for them to say whatever they had to this time. They’d gotten used to it at this point.

“Hello and good-” Hezago checked his pocket watch, for some weird reason, ”-morning! It has come to our attention that something we were supposed to do weeks ago has now bitten back with more consequences.” The room, having literally no idea what they were talking about, bliked confusedly. Hezago took a deep breath. “The sun is gone.” One of the members spoke. “But it’s still shining?” Then right then and there, it went dark, darker than when someone blindfolds you with a blackout curtain and forces you to tightrope walk.

Anyways, now frowning, Hezago blinked, realising that the Sun had lost its battle. Zack waved a hand, and what seemed like the sun returned, but you could not, even if your life depended on it, find a burning ball of fire or anything to serve as a source. Hezago smiled thankfully at his husband, then continued. “The light you see now is not the sun. It’s magic; only in place so you can control your populations. But, as they say, straight to the point.” He inhaled softly, something only intended to break up this text.

“Existence is collapsing in on itself, and unless we do something about this, you’ll be the last thing to go.” The room, ignoring the fact they said you’ll, broke into murmuring. Shocked by the statement, the head speaker, very much concerned, spoke. “Can you do something about it?” “Of course! I just need to issue a warning.” “A warning…?” “The speed required to move this planet could outright split it in half, which, as you can guess, is not a good thing.”

The head speaker gasped, not alone in his reaction. “Oh my…” “Yes, that exactly. So I hereby request territorial access to the select countries. The Commonwealth of North Pacifica’s arctic and pacific waters, and the Republic of New Ivory’s Atlantic waters.” North Pacifica’s Delegate (the Queen was on vacation) approved it almost instantly, but New Ivory’s president, for some obscure reason, proved hesitant.

Hezago stared at him, eyes conveying no emotion. Hesitant, at a time like this? Did he want to die? Ivory’s President made eye contact with he and Zack, and upon seeing the, ah, ideas those eyes had, he quickly gave his approval. “Thank you all.” Hezago said, eyes lingering on Ivory’s president.” “I guarantee at least most of you will make it through this.” The delegates and rulers raised a brow at this, but mostly ignored it. “Now, we’ll be off!”

And Zack and Hezago disappeared, leaving the society to their activities.

“Oh, thank goodness that you guys are already here.” Hezago said, taking a breath of relief at the presence of Oliver, Rosaline, and Professor Michelton. His Borearcis stood behind him, and Zack beside. “Okay, so everyone knows what to do?” “Yup!” Rosalie said, smiling happily, as if this was just another day. “Mhm!” Oliver smiled, showing the same attitude as Rosalie. Professor Michelton simply nodded, one of the few who actually understood the severity of the situation.

“Okay then, let’s get on with it.” And the locomotives sped off toward the last few planets that still existed. “Right,” Hezago said, turning to Terra as it rotated peacefully, oblivious to it’s likely impending doom. “Zack hun, can you start the engine?” “Right on it.” And swiftly, Zack entered the Borearcis’s cab, pulled a few levers and pressed a few buttons, and got the locomotive up and running. “Thanks hun.” Hezago said, smiling tiredly, very much appreciative.

He walked to the back of the locomotive, if that was even possible in space, and drew his wand, inhaling and exhaling deeply. “I wish we’d done this weeks ago…” “Well,” Zack said, calling from the cabin, “There’s no better time than the present!” Hezago chuckled at his husband’s antics, not noticing that the Proxima Centauri star, very close to the solar system at this time of the year, had vanished. He turned toward the blue-green marble that was Terra, and spoke.

“Edinereo.”

And four chains, the size of houses, came flying out of the planet toward him, crystalline in all their glory. As his request for land access had requested, it was what the chains had adhered to. One from the North Pole, another, from the middle of the Pacific, one at Africa’s bend, and the last at the South Pole.

Hezago stepped aside, and with a swish of his wand, the chains were now attached to the Borearcis, a grip stronger than when you’re being dangled over a cliff that has a giant meat grinder at the bottom that you’ll fall into if you even think about letting go for even one second.

But anyway, Hezago, satisfied with the attachment, walked calmly into the cab and entered, taking a seat, tired. “To the Outer Decimation Ring?” Zack asked, smiling kindly. “Mhm, yeah.” Zack nodded, pulling a few levers and flicking a few switches, the train beginning to chuff forward, gaining speed little by little, the weight of Terra holding it back. Before long though, the Borearcis was pulling it along easier than somebody holding a plastic water bottle that they’re about to throw at somebody.

Zack took a look out of the train’s cab, and the others, Rosalie with Saturn & Ceres (jupiter was gone with the wind), Professor Michelton with Neptune & and the Dwarf Planets (uranus had it’s weave snatched) and Oliver was nowhere to be seen. The Borearcis came to a halt among the others, and Hezago and Zack departed, alarmed by Oliver’s lack of presence.

“Hey, where’s Oliver?” Hezago asked, directing the question at Rosalie, who looked just as clueless as he was. She shrugged using these floating gloved hands, before speaking. “Well, when I passed him he said he was having a bit of trouble with mars, its surface was a bit unstable, and the people on it were not being very cooperative-” “Wait,” Professor Michelton said, raising a question, “Repeat that first part?” “Oh, that? The surface was a bit unstable, the chains were suspiciously loose-” “Of course!” Zack said, putting his hand to his forehead, “Its core’s gone solid! The only thing holding the planet together is its mass! No magic whatsoever!”
38Please respect copyright.PENANAwAvcEftdCS
Hezago gasped, realising there was another thing he’d forgotten to do. Mars’s central freezing cycle also, through some in correspondence in the script, froze the very magic the planet was based on, as was the rest of the solar system. He told himself to fix that, but having completely forgotten, they could only hope that Oliver could remedy their mistake, a deadly one at that, as the Outer Decimation Ring was closing in, inching ever closer, threatening populations that reached the trillions-

“Guys, guys!” And to everybody’s relief, it was Oliver. He was chugging toward them, Mars, and in addition Luna behind him, pulling the celestial bodies along. “Phew!” Rosalie called, “Thank goodness everythings alright!” “Ye-”

And Mars chose right there to split in half, like a box on the verge of spilling all of its contents onto the floor you just mopped. “Oh NO YOU DON’T!” They heard Oliver shout, and in an impressive feat of magic, a pair of giant gloved hands forced the planet’s halves back together with enough force to reignite the core whilst leaving the surface of the planet unscathed. An aura of purple surrounded the red planet, holding it together in order to let the core get its bearings. Oliver frowned, looking back at the planet, then chugged onwards, slowly returning to a smile as if that didn't just happen. Hezago congratulated him on the feat, much to Oliver’s surprise, but added on thereafter, “We really need to get on with this, I need a nap.”

And so, walking over to Zack, Hezago took his hand, and smiling softly, spoke.

“Together.”

And together, like they just said for those of you who weren’t paying attention, they cast the spell;

“Aurora Portalis.”

And it opened. First was an eight pointed star, half red half green, and in a shining of gold light it swirled into a still star shaped portal, all colour lying ahead. It then expanded, like doors opening for welcome, as was the purpose. It grew large, enough for the whole solar system two times upon itself, if only it existed.

Hezago breathed, relieved. He had some doubt it wouldn’t work, but here he was, standing before an open portal. Zack spoke up, relieved likewise. “Well, it seems existence is sending us an invitation.” Hezago smiled up at his husband, chuckling slightly at his antics. “Well, I’ll, of course, be accepting.”
38Please respect copyright.PENANAKuybsU8Ozl
He then turned toward the others, speaking. “Everybody, onward.”

And so they went, into a new age, with New Galaxia at its head.
