34. Crimson Eagle Training Camp (5)
Time goes fast, a week has passed
Today is the appointment day, the exam day, Max has succeeded in inviting Mashiro into their team, and with Mashiro connection Lex and Max able to find the other two.
Like the exam one month ago, today too Venti Crimson appeared, she didn't bother the normal everyday class but when a big exam like this she appeared normally as the tops of this training camp
Today Venti wore a red one-piece dress which absolutely mismatched with the situation and place a grassland beside a thick forest, but still her dress matched perfectly with her hair which blonde on top and red on it tip.

(but it's still on the level of biological weapon!!) Lex thought as he observed his surrounding the other number who came from another big group and his big group, the boys were embarrassed and enchanted by Venti
(how can an adolescent boy resist that!? She got a striking beauty and body! even it's hard for a mature man to resist that!!) then Lex once again observed Venti subordinate the black suited men who's indifferent with Venti figure.
From his heart, Lex started to respect these subordinates (you all the real gentlemen!!)
“I remind you all, this exam is real! we prepared the emergency squad for emergency situation but it's not like we can always monitor all of you. If you can't survive for this one week by yourself and unlucky, you can say goodbye to this world” Venti declared
her strong and cold world brought tension to all the trainees, the enchanted boys were snapped out from their fantasy by her. Lex can hear many of those in his surrounding swallowing their saliva.
That's all what Venti Crimson said before she left and leaving the rest to her subordinate, they all once again separated into their own big group of fifty trainees, then led to separate from other big group

By this point Lex and Max have assembled with the rest of their small group.
Lex see the other two persons in group, this is his first time in seeing them, because their contacts were handled by Max and Mashiro.
“number 412 and number 618 right?” Lex asked to make sure he didn't recognize them wrong. The number 412 is a blonde girl who often seen beside Mashiro, and 618 is a blonde boy, their hair was much darker than Arthur golden like hair
But still no Lex eyes twitching as he saw number 412 (HERETICCCC!!!!) he screamed inside, unlike Mashiro, she cut her hair like a boy, if Lex didn't hear it that she was a she, Lex may think the other two was boys not boy and girl.
From this point Lex have already decided to decrease his contact with that girl
“you're right” 618 answered “you are Zero right? Sorry we only able to see you now” he quickly apologizes as he met Lex
Usually the one who knows all of them like Mashiro or Max will help them in introducing to each other, but by Lex first step they can only stand in silent
“there's nothing to apologize for, you two afraid of suspicion, no? and we're a group here we will work together and live together for this one week, even if rank higher then you two doesn't mean you need to be polite with me like this” Lex said as he reached out his hand for a handshake
What Lex mean by suspicion is because the rule of this time exam, the trainees were allowed to bring one free thing they deemed necessary but they can't discuss what they take to others, which mean a small group can't coordinate what free thing they take to this exam. The trainees were trained their imagination to expect what possibility the other would bring in this exam
It's not like all the trainees monitored all day, actually it's easy to make a secret contact avoiding their eyes, but the trainees, the numbers they all came from an orphanage they all too afraid to break the rules which in their dismissal from this training camp. The only one who's not desperate is Lex who is a 'Guest' alone.
“you're right” 618 quickly accepted it and took Lex hand for a handshake, after that Lex offered it to 412 too

When Max saw Lex finished their introduction to each other, he quickly brought up new topic to them “we still have a bit time before the exam started, why don't we share our free thing now”
(nice one!) Lex thought, it was Lex's advice to Max for him show Mashiro a leader like figure, for Max to become a leader on this group, half of it because Lex really wanted to help him while the other half is… (with this my chance to be a leader become 0%!! As expected of me! Nice thinking! Two birds with one stone!!)
"But is it okay? Didn't they told us not to discuss about it?” Mashiro worriedly asked, as she glanced at the instructor nearby
“it's ok” Max declared “they told us not to discuss till the Exam, because we now far from the facility, even if we have the same free thing we can no longer change them. So nothing will change” Max too at the instructor nearby, and looks like instructor heard what Max said, as he confirmed what he said with a nod.
With that the rest quickly agreed to Max suggestion
“while I liked to discuss about it too, but there's something more important before that” Lex said “I'm not really fond of calling others number, I know 288's name Mashiro from Max, but can you two tell me your name? by the way my name is Lex nice to meet you”
The other three dumbfounded by Lex conduct (but why?) Lex too confused why they frozen in place like this, he quickly looked at Max for an answer
“as you see, he might be looks like an aloof type, always achieving first place in any kind of race and rarely spoken to others, but the real Lex is opposite of it” Max explained to the other three
(so that's why) Lex too understand what happened now (now that you said it, if I looked at myself from the other perspective, I was like a cool type who rarely talked to other but have the best ability in our big group, pretty badass huh? Never expect that)
The other three rebooted their mind by Max explanation “wow I've never expected that he has this kind of warm personality! my name is Neo” 618 the first one to answer Lex
"Me too!" 412 followed agreed with Neo before cheerfully answering Lex “My name is Elena nice to meet you too”
(kugh! Heretic!) Lex can't help but thought like that every time he saw Elena hair. But still he can't do anything about it, he can only bury it inside him.
“you never told me!” Mashiro complained to Max
"but you won't believe me even if I told you, no?" Max argued

Then they started their discussion for real this time

“I brought a Lighter” Max said Max automatically become their small group leader, he the one who always advances the topic and the others agree with it too. “I thought we can save so much time if we can easily get a fire”
“luckily I choose a different one” Mashiro said, Mashiro too have considered choosing a lighter before but change her mind on the last minute
(I naturally realize how useful that lighter will be in this wilderness)
“I change my choice into this!” Mashiro cheerfully take out a big cloth it was about 4x2 meter long, “I hope we can avoid bad weather with this”
(in case of bad weather we can used that to shelter us, in case of good weather we can use it to cover the ground avoiding any insect crawling from inside the ground, this too a nice choice)
"my turn!" Elena said (Heretic!!) Lex cried in his heart but he still shown her a faked smile
Elena took out a net, it is a 2x2m fishing net “I don't know much about forest, I don't know which one can be poisonous, but the chance is much lower with river fish, with this we can easily fish out a river fish”
“but we don't know if there will be a river or not over there” Neo refuted Elena became a bit dejected when Neo said like that, she didn't think that out, now she think that maybe she bringing an useless thing
(haa~~) Lex sighed inwardly “there's a high chance there will have a river there, or at least a water source”
“how do you know” Neo asked
Then Lex elbowed Max who's beside him for him to move “cause they only gave us two day worth of water, and we need to live there for a week, they must be a water source there, or we won't have enough from dew water” Max the one who's answered Neo
““““wow!!””” the three exclaimed to “thanks!” Elena said to Max
Lex make an eye contact with Max (you need to move more actively!!)
('uu… sorry, I'll do my best next time') Max answered with another eye contact before answering Elena “your welcome, I think it's a good choice too, with that we can easily secure food from river” Max said with a bright smile
“next is me” Neo turns “I brought this” he shown us a big knife, the knife is 50cm long,

(even I didn't expect this! What a surprise! I eliminated that kind of choice cause we're given a small knife, but that could be useful too)
“I have a bit experienced in the wilderness, no one knows if there will be a clear road to move on, mostly they will be blocked by bush and twigs, we can use this too move on, and on the worst cases we met a natural predator, this thing will help us too” Neo explained
With that the others too, agreed with his choice and the last one is Lex
“my turn” Lex said “but before that, there's something bothering me right now!! how do you all get those things? I don't expect you brought that from your hometown”

“well then, what I brought is this” Lex continued, bringing out a silver handgun

This thing is too shocking for the rest of them, even Max never know Lex have this kind of item in his possession
“this is memento from my parents” Lex gloomily said “I'm sorry I always bring it with me as a charm, I can't help you all with my item”
With Lex word, the mood quickly dropped a few temperature
"w-well" Max stuttered "don't mind! There's a bullet in there, no?”

Max quickly brighten hearing Lex's reply, he found a way out from this awkward situation “then it's okay!” Max said “it can be very useful if we encounter a dangerous animal! Right?” then he asked agreement from other
"we don't mind!"

“it's useful!”
Elena, Mashiro and Neo quickly agreed with Max
(kukuku, all according to the plan!)
(of course it's a lie! Who knows what kind of dangerous thing will happen there!! There even a hellhound pounding my front door!! Bringing this increase my safety and makes me more reassured)
