"Play with me, and no demons will come near you. I promise you that" He said
"If I play with you........will you take me home.......safely?"
He didn't hesitate, to smile at me and nod, almost immediately. He seemed sincere........unlike that horrible, girl I met earlier. I am still trying to wrap my brain, around "demons" in the forest.
I can't deny, that both him and the girl, were quite odd. Coupled, with, not being able to exit the forest where I came from, there are definitely supernatural forces at play here.
"Okay, I'll go along with your games.......but who's to say, your not a demon? And you don't plan to eat me yourself.........you still never answered my question........"
He grabbed a lock of his dark hair, almost as if to present it to me. Then, he pulled down his lower lids to show me his blue eyes. Finally, he dragged his mouth open with his fingers, and stuck his tongue out, revealing normal human teeth.
"If I was to eat you, I couldn't with teeth like this, and besides, I look human just like you! Just play with me, and I promise I will show you the way back home."
I can't argue with that point, he doesn't have the teeth, to eat me, and there is nothing demonic about him.
"Okay, I will play you". I said unwillingly
We spent hours playing, but I always never won, Diablo just surpassed me at everything. We raced, which I of course lost, he ran strangely fast for such a young boy, already reaching miles ahead before I even started.
Diablo, presented a game to me called "Tree to Tree", which consisted of, me having to jump from tree to tree, without falling on the ground.
I lost........again.......so he offered to just hang off the tree, while I held his hand and dangled off. Which I found, oddly sweet.
Next he wanted to wrestle and tackle..........I suggested to him, that might not be the best idea, because it seemed he surpassed me in everything.
He assured, me that, since I was a girl, he would try to take it "Easy"
Whatever that meant.......we had to call it quits because, he would end up strangling the life, out of me. After we were done with his dangerous games.
I offered a more, civil, type of play like tag. Which consisted of me attempting to run, then him accidentally tagging me too hard.
We tried hide and seek, and when I was done counting, it would take me hours to find him. Whenever I hide, he would find me within seconds.
It was nighttime already, and I was exhausted covered in mud and bruises, and my shoes were mangled up. Diablo however was fine as ever.
"Man you suck at this........" He looked concerned, can't tell if his trying to mock me.......or if he was being serious. I nearly flew over, from exhaustion, and he caught me just in time, looking concerned.
He scooped me up, and let me rest on him, as he was walking.
I can't deny, I had so much fun, the most fun I have ever had in HavenBelle. Everybody is so occupied, about monsters it's like everybody forgets what it's like to be carefree.
Even though, Paris, was my friend, it was nice playing for once, without having to talk about it, getting eaten.
"I had so much fun Chloe, did you?" I slowly nodded my head as I was drifting off from exhaustion.
I noticed, he was walking, the same direction, I tried to walk, but it seemed the path was opening up.
"I am sorry I was so rough with you. You see I have been trapped in this forest, so long I was so excited, somebody wanted to play with me........"
"Come back tomorrow K?.......If you come back I will bring you more apples......"
Wait? What does he, mean his been trapped in this forest.......
"Diablo, what do you me-" I felt I was no longer being carried anymore. I felt, cool hard, concrete, under my back, and I saw a light, shine into my eyes.
I used my elbows to protect my eyes, from the light, but more light entered my eyes.
Police, sirens, were blaring, red and blue lights, and I heard muffled voices and shouting.
