Conditions? Living in a forest as dangerous as this?
"No way!" I shouted at her "I refuse.........how am I supposed to survive?"
She shrugged her shoulders and pointed her fingernails at me.
"You wanted to seek Diablo so bad? There you have it, now you can spend your days with him"
Words couldn't escape my lips, I was utterly frozen in horror.
"Unless you prefer, my guardians tear your friend's limb from limb?" Dentro teased.
I swallowed, extremely hard, I have to survive here no matter, what. I can't allow, anybody else to suffer, because of my mistakes.
"Okay I accept your terms and conditions, just leave my friends alone........." My voice shook
Dentro for once gave me an earnest look and nodded her head. She snapped her fingers and called for her guardians to come back to her.
"As long as, you watch your back and don't poke your nose into, places you aren't supposed to , you should survive, a good 1 year at least. I wish you good luck" She said giving me such fake reassurance"
A good year? I would survive at most just a year........."
Diablo saw my troubled face, and tried to guide me forward to walk with him gently. He seemed so gentle with me....
"Let's head to my place. You must be exhausted."
He has a place of his own? At this age? There is nothing in this forest but trees.
"There is nothing upon miles here, how did you find a place unless you mean a cave?" I questioned.
He put his fingers to his lips and thought. "Well it's technically not my place, it's an abandoned cabin. A married couple, actually use to live in it. They were obsessed with the secrets of HavenBelle and came to live here"
He continued."They actually didn't bother, nobody. Just wanted to enjoy our forest. It was Dentro that decided one day to slaughter the couple in cold blood. She felt they took up too much space. So now it's my home"
This Dentro is, just so plain evil. She may not be a demon herself, but she sure behaves like one. That's so morbid, to kill, a married couple just out of boredom.
We were encroaching, an old creaky cabin, it didn't help I was about to sleep in a place, where two people were viciously killed
"Who even are you........and don't you dare lie to me this time"
He calmly ignored my question, by approaching the old creaky cabin, and yanking the door open, as the doorknob was still stuck.
The cabin was unlike the outside. The wood, looked to appear newer, the flooring, was smooth, decorated with a red rug with geometric shapes. The cabin was however very empty, one small fridge sat in the corner. There was no tv, no microwave and no oven, and three cabinets and obviously a counter.
Two, big fluffy couches that seemed to be a faded purple from age, sat across each other from the living room.
These people, must have hunted for food, and decided to live a more outdoor lifestyle. Telling by the condition of the cabin, the married couple certainly did not die, ages ago.
Diablo motioned from me to sit on the couch.
"You must be thirsty let me get you something to drink?"
He walked over to the fridge, revealing an old pitcher, filled with fresh water.
"You still never answered my question, what are you hiding from me?" I demanded from him.
He grabbed a glass cup from the cabinets, poured my water and handed me a glass for me to drink.
I swooed the glass away from me, demanding him to tell me his identity. He shrugged, and placed my water on the ground, then he sat across from me.
"I'm a devil or demon, just like everything else in this forest. That's all I can tell you. I'm just thankful, that I finally have a friend, it's been so lonely by myself"
"You don't understand, I'm stuck here until something kills me, this isn't a game. There is also no way you're just another demon. I won't fall for that" I said.
He shook his head, and became more stern all of a sudden. "I don't think you understand, you either play with me or die. That's the only option you have right now"
"I'm a part of this forest, so it's safe to assume, that I am one of those monsters, any other information I tell you, will not make your stay any easier on you.
