Kye sighed as we walked along the path of ruins and stopped outside a crumbling temple, “well...this looks like it’s it..” I said, jake nodded and kye shivered uncomfortably. “Something wrong?” I asked looking at kye with worry. He smiled hesitantly “yeah, just a chill” he said, I nodded and looked at Jake “I’m gonna go in, you guys stay here...” I said, they nodded and I walked towards the ruins.
I looked up at the markings before stepping on a pressure plate which started to glow pink underneath me, I stared but didn’t move as the door of the ruins opened and welcomed me in. I shivered as I glanced back and walked inside, it was Erie and reeked of dirt and mold. I kept walking seemingly hearing whispers surrounded me in certain parts of the ruins.
I kept walking before entering a room which illuminated as I stepped in, a stone lit up like a hologram and my mother appeared, I gasped in shock. I watched as she blinked her lashes as longer then any humans, she smiled looking down at me just as she crouched down. “Hello dalring- if this is you and your finally finding this place, I’m happy for you.” She said before pausing and giggling quietly. “You, my daughter a beautiful woman now. And I believe it is time I give you access to my library...but- you must find it first, this isn’t the only ruins. There are multiple others built by my people in honor of me. Only one is my library. I’ll guid you along the way with my spirit guide Starling. I believe in you my daughter and for now I want you to keep this bracelet in case you need a way to get away from something dangerous on the way...” she smiled one last time before glitching and disappearing. A tear rolled down my cheek as I walked towards the stone where the bracelet sat.
It was gold with a blue gem in the middle just like my bow on my other clothes. I wiped my tears and smiled slipping it on, it glowed for a moment before adjusting to my size wrist. i walked out of the ruins and looked at Jake who was leaning against a tree his gashes glowing brighter in the dark as he waited his eyes resting closed. Kye sat against the same tree next to him passed out. I smiled and walked over, Jake’s eyes fluttered open and he locked eyes with me “hey..” he whispered, I smiled sadly “hey” I replied as he held out a hand for me to take.
I took it and he pulled me into a hug, I sighed and hid my face in the crook of his neck. He gripped me in the hug his chin resting on my head “I love you heart...” he mumbled, I closed my eyes slowly “I love you too jj” I said.
