Kye and i walked the main hall of the temple looking around in awe before the room we stepped into illuminated brightly. Kye flinched before moms hologram appeared again “my darlings, you found the next temple!” She said happily. Kye reached for my hand and i gripped it tightly “this temple will take you back into your family’s heritage...this is the truth for both of you” she said with a charming smile.
The room went dark before a tree with pictures on it appeared “this is our family tree... my side at least” she said. Kye and i looked around it in awe before spotting creepypasta and growling lightly “i see you hold hatred for that man in particular...your step father was not a very compassionate man” she said with a smile. Kye and i stopped our attention snapping to her “wait- stepfather?” Kye asked. She smiled and nodded kye sighed in relief and i frowned. “Heart darling...is something on your mind?” She asked.
I looked at her “zodriak...is he...really our real father?” I asked, kye looked at me confused. She smiled “so you’ve met him?” She asked, i nodded at “at the school dance...” i stated. She smiled brightly “well darling..yes- he is your father...your real one not a fake like creepypasta” she explained. I sighed and looked at kye “I’m assuming kye you didn’t know this..” she said. He nodded and she smiled.
“I fell in love with zodriak when i was in the hospital for heart issues...he was already a poltergeist and i had a knack for seeing supernaturals. So when i met your step father after being reincarnated i was forced to marry him. Zodriak happened to be his brother...and well...i fell for him and we kept our relationship a secret...we soon had you two. Our beloved twins, although i had to lie in order to keep you cause your father didn’t know...but when he found out- thats when i lost you guys and my life entirely” she said with a sad smile.
Kye stared in shock “no way...” he mumbled. She smiled brightly again “in a couple of years heart...you will take my place as queen of the gods and kye you’ll take her spot as her warrior and loving sibling” she said. I stared at her the title of ‘queen’ already weighing on my shoulders.
“As your mother and goddess of this temple ill gift you this book of our heritage...” she said with a smile. The podium nearby lit up as a book sat upon it. Kye and i walked over hands still clasped together, i wiped my hand on it and kye blew on it a layer of dust causing us to sneeze and cough before kye picked it up. “I love you...ill see you at the next temple” she said with a smile before disappearing.
I looked at kye and the book and smiled at him tears rolling down my cheeks again, he joined in hugging me before we left. When we walked out I could’ve sworn i saw Jessica pull away from Jake quickly. I giggled fakery walking over to him and sticking my hands in the back of his jeans before kissing him gently. He smiled nervously as i shot daggers from my eyes at Jessica, she shrugged and looked at her phone.
