““Let’s take a break here...we’ve been walking for quite awhile. We’ll probably be there soon” i said glancing at key who was nodding off as he walked. He sighed din relief and leaned against a tree exhausted and out like a light within seconds.
Jake was silent as he walked to another part of the forest, starling cuddled up with kye as i glanced at Jake before following him. “You alright?” I asked catching up to him. He frowned and turned towards me “yeah...” he lied. I frowned “your lying-“ i pointed out. He sighed and looked at me, “listen heart...I’m just stressed-“ “about what?” I asked, he locked eyes with me. “I’m just annoyed that I haven’t been able to have time with you sense we had sera...i was hoping that with that Fairy chick watching sera that we’d have more alone time...together” he said hugging me gently.
I sighed “I know how you feel Jake..but- at least kye is...I don’t know- alive.” I smiled. Jake sighed and pushed the small of my back against him as he hugged me, i closed my eyes as his familiar smell filled my senses. “I love you heart” he said, i smiled “i love you to-“”uhhhhh I’m sorry did i walk in on something?” A voice cut me off. I jumped from the hug and whipped towards the voice.
A girl with purple to pink hair and black and white striped clothing was standing at the edge of the forest. She had a perfectly plucked eyebrow raised as she watched me and him, “wait...your that girl..” i mumbled remembering her from when i froze time “how did you survive?” I asked. She looked at me. “The temples. They deflect any magic power that hits them. When you told me to run thats where i went.” She said. I smiled in relief before looking at her again “you wouldn’t happen to be related to lj right?” I asked. Her eyes shimmered “yeah, he’s my dad..” she said pointing to her nose. I nodded “I’m heartless-“”i know.” She cut me off.
I looked at her “my dad talks about you a lot..” she said with a smile. “I- oh..” i said. She glanced at Jake “and your ej’s son hm?” She said walking towards him and running her finger across his cheek. I growled before covering it with a giggle and moving her hand “so, you know where the temples are?” I asked, she looked at me bored “yeah...but I’m guessing your looking for the one with the library..?” She asked. I nodded “yeah...I’ve never found it ever. “ she answered crushing my hope all at the same time. I sighed and glanced at Jake “well...wanna join us?” I asked, she raised an eyebrow “us?” She asked looking at Jake and i just as kye walked over rubbing his eyes along with starling trailing behind him.
“Hey, who’s thi- JESSICA?!” He practically shouted. I looked at him with confusion and the girl scowled at him “I should’ve known...” she growled. He frowned “she is not joining us.” He snapped. I glared “come on heart! She’s a-“ he paused mouthing the word ‘homophobe’ and i sighed “just ignore her and act like she doesn’t exist kye.” I said. Jessica smiled innocently giving me the chills.
Starling growled at the girl before trotting over to me and hiding behind my leg, i sighed “sure. I’d love to join you guys.” She said looking kye dead in the eyes with a sickening smile. I smiled “great! Let’s go!” I squealed before glancing at Jake and biting my lip. He locked eyes with me as i kissed his cheek before he took his normal place behind us as we walked. I frowned when i heard Jessica and him chatting before i heard her start to flirt “you know your quite the catch...” she whispered, my ear twitched and glanced at kye who was glaring at the path in front of us. My eyes widened and i looked around before moving a wall of vine to reveal another huge and magnificent temple, kye watched me “can i come with you this time?” He asked. I smiled and looked at the mark. “Well the temple needs to people to open this one so sure!” I said grabbing his wrist and pulling him onto it with me, the stones glowed red and pink as the door opened “we’ll be back guys!” I said, Jake nodded.
