"Your head is bleeding.We will have to find a doctor."
Despite her protests he managed to find an apothecary in one of the winding streets.
"It isn't fatal,"the physician decided."Although you may have a slight headache for a time.I'll bleed you."
The doctor reached into a bowl of water and tried to apply a leech to the back of her scull.
Brail reacted in horror.
"What the hell is that! Get that thing away from me!"
The android woman looked at her in puzzlement.
"I don't like those godamn things,"the girl from Los Angeles stated."Don't even try to put that thing on me."
"Just apply a salve, Doctor,"the Captain told her.
"Very well,then,"the silver robot said.She brought down a ceramic jar from the shelf and sprinkled some brown powder into a bowl.
"Tincture of Mummy also works well on head wounds."

In the sky overhead the bat creatures still soared like eagles after they left the doctors office.
A strange dinosaur alien was watching them from a distance.It was clad in the usual silver of the Eye Cult.The Captain assumed that the cyclops seated next to Zorrik had some kind of influence over him.
"It's a carnosaur,"he commented."They are native to Sauris,a planet of intelligent dinosaurs near the Pelagar System.It's highly unusual to see one so far from home."
The creature was about the size of a horse.It rather looked like an iguana except for a horn sprouting above its nose.Intelligent eyes regarded them keenly.
A tug in the back of his brain made him realize that the creature was an empath.
It was attempting to read his mind!
A purple humanoid girl with three eyes suddenly came around the corner.She was completely nude,with generous breasts.
"I've been looking for you guys,"she smiled."I'm Credessa.The Kings personal slave.His Illustrious Majesty invites you to join him at the games."
The Coliseum.
"Ceaser wishes you to know that I am at your disposal.I am well trained in the art of sexual gratification, Captain."
It didn't surprise him in the least that Zorrik knew who he was.He was a fellow Telemartian after all.He had orchestrated everything that had happened since Brail first walked into his time machine twenty four hours ago.
"I'm afraid I will have to pass on the offer,"he told the girl."I haven't been sexually active in two thousand years.Death burnt it out of me."
"Oh,"Credessa said.
She turned to Brail.
"How about you,Miss? I can please both sexes."
"Um-"Brail laughed nervously"- I think I'm good."
"A pity,"the girl said."You have such pretty big eyes."
"Gee,thanks.But let's just be friends."
Out of the corner of his eye Captain Space saw the dinosaur melt away.
Obviously another spy.
As Credessa led the way through the bustling city Brail leaned over conspiratally.
"Did you hear what she said to me?"
"She is a slave,"he responded.
"I knew dykes in LA but this is the first time a purple lezzy with three eyes propositioned me!"
"It's space,"the Captain told her."You're not in Kansas anymore."
