Una deftly trotted through the woods, fuming from the argument she and her parents had had, Winter, her Siberian husky, ran along beside her, the cold obviosly affecting him less than it did her. Una's runners were soaked through from the half-melted snow, unconsciously, she made her way towards the hut she built years ago, as she dodged through the tree's Una thought back to the fight her breath fogging up in front of her, so what if she likes girls, it doesn't make her any different than she was the 14 years before she told them, why can't they leave it alone? She was too deep in her thoughts to notice the root in front of her, she tripped over it and flew through the air, she gasped in pain as she crashed into the trunk of a large oak tree, Winter ran up to her, nudging her, checking to see if she was alright. Una lifted her elbow, hoping it won't be too bad, she groaned at the sight of her elbow, blood was being pumped out at a steady pace from a large gash, she looked down at the rock which caused the wound. She hurled the rock into the forest before curling up into a ball and crying.203Please respect copyright.PENANAdQoUyec9cW
"Everyone hates me Winter, everyone except you. Do you hate me? I wouldn't blame you if you ran back to the warm house with food served to you every day." Winter stared up at her, panting from their run, Una sighed.203Please respect copyright.PENANAKxLgbYljIM
"You probably don't know what I'm talking about." sometimes she wished she could speak with Winter. As this thought hit her, Winter started growling, something spooked him. Una picked up a branch and followed Winter, adrenalin rushing through her, she followed Winter for 15 seconds or so until she heard a low growling noise but instead of coming from Winter, it came from a large grizzly not 10 meters from her. She panicked and tried to remember do you play dead for grizzlies or do you try to scare them off? The bear reared up onto their back legs and roared. Una made up her mind and started to sprint, Winter followed after her barking. Una desperately ran towards her house, disregarding her previous pact to never go back. Hearing the grizzly pounding after her, she sprinted harder than she had in her entire life. After several stressful minutes, Una finally saw her fence, gasping for air she scrambled over it and rushed to the door. Then she remembered Winter she ran back to the fence, she reached the latch before realizing, the latch, it's locked. Winter jumped up onto the fence and stared at Una, in those couple of seconds they seemed to understand each other, Una ran towards the door and Winter ran towards the bear. As she reached the door she heard Winter yelp, Una tugged on the handle the color drained from her face, it was also locked, she battered the door until her fists were sore, before realizing her parents must be at the dinner party, Una rushed to the shed, desperately looking around for anything heavy, she picked up the sledgehammer and rushed out. In front of her stood the grizzly, she picked up the sledgehammer and ran towards the bear. If she was going out. She's not going out without a fight.203Please respect copyright.PENANAbrplz5ljGj
