The Siege of Paris was hard fought victory for the German's Army of The Steel Cross.
As expected, the napalm bombs planted by the Germans were effective in dealing with the fortified bunkers that were once were heavily used in the defence during the previous war.
Now after a long campaign against the French it was time to set their sights towards the others, namely Britain and America.
But before that, a celebration of sort with the allied french who sided with them.
The celebration took place in the wide greenspace infront of the Eiffel Tower.
Elsa was with the leaders and officers, celebrating the victory achieved, then she noticed Wölfe standing in the distance. He was staring at the towering landmark which is the Eiffel Tower.
Elsa approached him, but he seemed to have noticed her.
"Shouldn't you be celebrating...Kapitan?" He
finally said, his eyes looking everywhere except in her direction.
"Of course I should," Elsa replied, "but I didn't think I'd see you here,"
He kept quiet for a moment, still avoiding her gaze.
She finally decided to speak again.
"You seem upset... Is everything alright?" she asked.
He looked over at her before he said anything.
"I'm not upset," he said shortly.
Silence again.
"You've been here before didn't you?" Elsa asked.
"Not me," Finally he turned around to face her, "I assume you know who Heinrich Von Friedreich?" he asked bitterly.
"Yes," Elsa frowned slightly.
"He was here during the Liberation of France, he was only 9 when he was conscripted," He explained, "Thankfully, children don't actually fight on the frontline and instead act as a supply courier,"
"That sounds... kind of cruel, isn't it?" She questioned softly.
"Those were... desperate times," He responded, "He told me about the tunnels that linked all the bunkers... And when he used them to sneak in bombs with other children,"
"So that's where you got that idea," Elsa commented.
"But for him, it didn't end as well," Wölfe said, "His older sister who was only 11 at the time she died after the operation went south and he was stuck behind enemy lines as the Allied Forces started bombing when they found out they failed... which didn't work as well"
"Oh God..." Elsa exclaimed, "I knew what the they went through during the was bad but... That must have been... horrible,"
Wölfe nodded slightly.
"Anyway, I'll leave you to your celebration," He said as he walked away.
