I am writing this letter to remind you that you are never alone. Since your sickness, we have been spending so much time apart.
At first, I didn't think you were going to make it. I was planning on doing something stupid until I realized our love would never let you die.
Who knew at the first time we met at the library, that we would like the same books, the same author, and even the same spot in the library.
We read stories together for countless hours and you would always carry more books than you could hold. I would try to help you to your feet and fall down as well.
At the time, we were only friends. We would joke around together and play games, buy each other silly gifts, and help each other through the bad memories that followed us.
It made me finally realize our souls were inseparable. It's funny how the only argument we ever had, was about what type of cake was better. I still believe it's strawberry shortcake.
It wasn't until I discovered the letter you wrote, the letter tucked away in my favorite book, that we both felt the same way.
I believe wholeheartedly that you will recover from this, just as I will if I ever end up in the same situation. I know you will be there when I need you to be.
I hope this letter gives you the determination and love you need to get back up on your feet. Just like the vows in marriage, I will love you in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part.
