Being adopted into a wealthy white military family would be anyone's dream, the money, and privilege behind it. However, Sirrah Winters does not see it that way with the constant whispers, stares, and jokes; Sirrah begins to feel as though it was a huge mistake that the Winters' family had adopted her when she was only five years old.
