Keona’s POV
“So you’re telling me, I can’t use the talkie. It’s OFF like the others?”
I frustratedly asked the vice head technician Hastings who is suddenly in my office, disconnecting the talkie.
“I’m sorry for not telling you early, Deputy Chief but this is the Head’s orders. He believes the talkies should be upgraded.”
He tells me before he HASTILY leaves me office with my office before I could ask when my talkie can be returned.
I walked to the Chief’s office and also soon realized his own talkie is also gone. “We’re getting new talkies and the newbies be getting the ones we’re getting.” The Chief explains to me.
“Whose grandiose idea it is then, Chief?”
I folded my arms asking him. “You can kindly ask dear old Sal about it, Sal’s the cream of the crop there.” He tells me shrugging his shoulder.
“Fine if you insist on me asking Bitonci what’s his game.”
I said to him walking off from his office, without bidding him a good day and of course with a middle finger for a friendly exchange between us both.
I am not going to the Head Technician’s office either way, knowing because of their relations, they be singing the exact same tune.
“You okay Madame?”
Lupin asks me the moment I’m back in my office. “Wish I was, and if Hastings or Bitonci is here tomorrow, tell them leave the talkie on my table and get lost fast.” I tell her which I soon realized she has never met Hastings or Bitonci.
“Hastings? Bitonci? Are they names I am supposed to know?”
She soon asks me before I sat her down and go through a long song and dance about who these two are so she can open her eyes here.
“Salvatore Romeo Bitonci, or Sal, is the Head Technician and also, older brother to the wife of the current Chief.” I begin explaining Bitonci to her.
“He maybe experienced in the electronics but he’s narrow-minded and a clown. He can make a big round of mess over finding the needle in a haystack.” I added on.
“So basically he’s a fool?” Lupin scratches her head asking me. “Yes! Good point!” I winked to her impressed before going on to Hastings.
“His vice or the right-hand man, is Stamford Lee Hastings. He has a strong British accent and loves to be a quick snob. Just let him do his job before he comes a crackhead.” I then tell her about Hastings.
“Are you going to tell your rookie tomorrow?” She then asks me about John which got me remembering.
“Oh dear, remind me to tell him about these two twats when tomorrow comes.” I get her to remind me.
“Need your gunpowder tea also then?”
She soon asks me. “Yes please” I took a deep breath nodding my head before she gets up to make me my tea.
I was about to take a small nap before working on one of my cases when a call from Henri came through my pager.
“Hello dear~”
I smile as soon as he picks up the call. “How’s talking to Beaufort today?” He soon asks me about the case with Gloria.
“He’s just blowing smoke that got Chief at him.” I then tell him what happened with the meeting.
“Beaufort est un menteur de plusieurs classes. (Beaufort is a liar of many classes.)” I added on.
“Bien sûr que oui. (Of course.)”
He agrees with me saying. “Just take care of yourself and the kids while I work out a solution for G.” I said to him.
“Yes yes. You also take care and don’t fall sick.”
He tells me as the call soon ends as I pick up on the file that I’m supposed to work on.

I think to myself reading the case I was given. “I’m going to the storage room. Can you come with me please?” I stand up taking the file asking Lupin.
“Of course.”
Lupin smiles saying before walking with me out to the storage room so I can have a more good look to the case.
Diane’s POV
“Yo no sabía que Ludwig haría eso! Yo juro por Dios. (I didn’t know Ludwig would do that! I swear to God.)”
My uncle Bautista tells me when I found out in the clinic, one of my brothers, Ludwig has got into a fight with my mother over some $30.
“Me pregunto qué pasa con todo ustedes y sus mentes algunos días. (I wonder what happens to all of you and your minds some days.)” I added on.
“Una pelea como esa sucedió y estoy trabajando mañana. De quién cuidar de los dos? Tú? Papa? Wil? Anna? Chris? (A fight like that happened and I’m working tomorrow. Who to take care of the two? You? Papa? Wil? Anna? Chris?)”
I then asked him before Mama comes out with bandage around her forehead and a really scary black eye.
“Are you okay Mama? What did the doctor say?”
I go to her asking as I’m worried and horrified by how she look. “I’m alright dear, just some injuries.” She reassures me.
“Just some injuries, Lud has went too far.” I can’t help facepalming at the extent my brother has went hurting our mother.
“It’s okay Dia.” She reassures me and before I could really give my uncle another tell-off. My soon-to-be mentor Marie comes over saying hi.
“Hello Miss Raussen. Came here for checkup?” She greets asking me. I shook my head.
“Just some personal family matters, Mam. Nothing great much.” I reassure her, trying not to really make my family look like idiots in front of me.
“Okay, have a good rest and see you soon.” She says before taking her leave.
“Likewise, Mam.” I bowed bidding her farewell as she takes her leave. As soon as she leaves, I can’t help sighing in a huge relief before looking at my mother and uncle shaking my head at them both.
“Estudiar mucho es inútil! (Studying hard is useless!)”
I tell both my mother and uncle before walking off to go get my car to drive them both home.
Antonio’s POV
“Woah! That’s some angry Keo you have there, Papa”
I tell my father chuckling when I saw Keona walking out of his office, not without flashing the middle finger of course.
Am I angry she flashed at Papa? No…it’s so ODD and COMMON between them both that it’s already normal.
“She never likes your Uncle Sal. Me telling her to look for him about the talkies. Don’t be surprised whoever is under her will be tough cookie to crack also.”
He tells me back with a chuckle. “She got somebody under her?” I looked at him.
“Analyst Van Rhineburg’s older boy John Charles Daniel McForbes. From what I heard, he’s some reincarnation of the great Paul Hesse-Millers.” He answers stretching his arms a little.
“Interesting” I nod my head smiling. “From what I’ve gotten and heard, he seems to be intelligent, serious, passionate and hardworking.” My father continues explaining.
“Shyden’s type for sure.” He adds on giggling which I also giggle agreeing with him.
“Talking about that, I need you heading down to Knoxville some time soon.”
He then tells me before I looked up to him. “May I know why Papa?” I asked him rubbing my eyes.
“The Nat Hayden murder. I need you to go there and check if there’s any clues you can find to have the case put to rest.”
He soon explains to me. “Y-You sure I’m the man for it, Papa? I haven’t been off-field though.” I asked uncertain.
“If I say I’m sure Tony my son, I’m sure.” He nods his head telling me with certainty. “Tell Downs its my order since she loves to question.” He then adds on teaching me how to deal with my superior.
“Thank you, Papa”
I thanked him before bidding him good day and went out of his office. To my horror, on my way back, I saw Rodrigo making his recruits watching each other to fix the ceiling.
‘What the hell is that terror doing?’
I think to myself looking at him folding his arms with a smirk. I can’t help wondering why he’s still in the FBI with his attitude.
“Hurry up you spic! Don’t come waste my time!” He then tells the girl whose up next climbing the ladder with the screw as he looks at his watch.
I soon saw him kicking the ladder on purpose, causing the girl to fall. I quickly ran towards the falling girl and grab her before she could fall any further.
“OH MY GOSH!!”
