When he says the things he does,

Even right in front of me,

It’s something I can’t see,

I don’t believe him,

He says what I want to hear,

That’s enough to spot a snake,

Even if he’s not a rake,

I don’t believe him,

Though I’d trust him with my life,

I don’t trust him to love,

Because I look up at him above,

I don’t believe him,

Though he tries so hard to help me,

Though he always wants to talk,

I’m just waiting for him to walk,

I don’t believe him,

I pretend like I know he cares

I pretend like I’m the confident one

Because I know I love him a ton.
