I’ve been utterly crushed alive,

So after I managed to put my organs back where they belong,

I started to ask a few questions,

In my mind,

Of course,

I’m quite logical.

Is he gay?

I mean I have nothing against it,

But that kind of kills a girl’s dreams real fast,

Is there a girlfriend (or boyfriend)

That might require some facebook stalking,

(GOD HE NEVER UPDATES IT!)

Is he actually a future or current serial killer,

That’s the thing about being new to a town,

I don’t know who among you,

Disemboweled cute squirrels and bunnies—

For fun when they were kids,

Or maybe he likes ax maniac culture too much,

And then there’s the most vital question there is.

Does he like cats?

It’s sort of like a crazy train—

Not the same as that Brit who pissed on the Alamo,

These thoughts just bleed one into the next,

Like hello,

I’m an anxiety ridden writer with a depressive nature—

Wasn’t hugged enough as a child—

Obsessed with life and death—

Have petty issues with Mom and Dad worth 832 miles—

Scared of everything but comes along anyway—

Socially awkward but well meaning—

Wants to love but afraid to try—

Very bad at conversations—

Constantly self deprecating—

Quiet when really angry—

Panic attack creating—

Really quite eccentric—

Fantasy and cloud preferring—

What I’m saying out loud wondering—

Do you like cats?

Shit I already asked that—

Wait not out loud I haven’t actually—

Still really overthinking—

Possibly might go bathroom crying—

Think of unicorns and rainbows—

The door is just right there if needed—

“Hi…I’m Allie.”
