Four Days before it:
"Hee-young, want to go out with me and the few others? We are planning to have some tteokbokki after school. Want to join?" Suhyeok asked. She looked at him before shaking her head, this has been the thousand or more times that she've rejected in going out with him and the others since they left the gang that Gwinam was in.
"I have dance practice with the coaches. If I skip it, my father probably be fuming mad," Hee-young lied, as she looked at her phone. Suhyeok lightly nodded his head as he watched the girl walk away. Hee-young walked to the rooftop where she lightly closed the door. She light up the cigarette and quickly took a blow.
"You know you should've lock the door," Gwinam said, placing his arm around Hee-young's shoulder, "Heard from Myung-Hwan that you rejected the offer of going out with Suhyeok again. What's the reason this time."
"None of your business," She merely said as she pushed his arm away from hers.
"Don't need to be that cold, princess. After all, you know, we did share some memories with each other," Gwinam said as he moved closer to Hee-young.
"Those were nothing but a mere memory. Nothing more," Shesaid, seating on the table that were over there. Gwinam chuckled.
"Like you said, a memory. A memory that lasts inside my head," Gwinam said as he sat next to Hee-young playing with her dark brown hair. She groaned loudly, just then Myung-Hwan and Chang-hoon came in.
"That Suhyeok bastard came to me and asked me where was the princess. He thinks I've abducted you or something," Myung-Hwan groaned as he took the cigarette pack from her pocket, lighting up one for himself. Chang-hoon shooked his head.
"Can't blame him that when I left the group with him," Hee-young said quietly.
"Yeah right you left," Chang-hoon scoffed. Hee-young shook her head as she looked at her phone.
"You know after school we can, you know, do something," Gwinam whispered though his whisper was never a whisper.
"Oh I got that location to do it you know. That poor guy's house where he shouldn't have stayed. He caused loads of trouble you know. We can totally you know," Chang-hoon offered.
"Bullshit, I can't. I have training after school," Hee-young said.
"No way, are you avoiding us too," Myung-Hwan said, as though she was abandoning him.
"She has already rejected going out with Suhyeok, who else will she not reject," Gwinam said. Hee-young looked at him and rolled the eye before walking down to the classroom.
"Hee-young, where did you go. I've been looking everywhere for you," Suhyeok said, "I actually thought Gwinam kidnapped you... Is that the smell of smoke." He scrunched his nose a little. She slightly panicked.
"Was just at the rooftop, there were some students that were smoking upstairs, that's why there is a smell of it," Hee-young silently said as she hid the cigarette pack deeper into her pocket. Suhyeok nodded.
"Hey you know, nobody hates you in our class. Don't because of what you did a year ago, you don't talk to people. You already left the gang. Relax, alright," Suhyeok said. Yeah right left the group, She thought. Hee-young slightly nodded her head before walking back to her seat.
<><><Time Skips><><>
Eating the Japanese dish that she are having, Hee-young kept absolutely quiet while eating. After that, she hung around the place as she waited for the time to pass, not wanting to go back home.
As the sun fell, Hee-young slowly made her way back home. There she could see that her father's guy was there already, he was back home. Hee-young took a deep breathe in as she slowly opening the door. There revealing her father seating at the couch, looking fuming mad. Her mother was over there too, no emotions on her face.
Hee-young tried to quickly walk away without them noticing but then...
"Park Hee-young, stand right there these instance," Her father sternly shouted, his voice could be echoed throughout the living room. She rolled her eyes and groaned.
"Your father and I heard from one of the trainee that you have been skipping trainings more and more. Not only that, your grades are getting worser than usual. State the reason why," Hee-young's mother said as she looked at her.
"I don't feel like going. Don't want to go either," Hee-young said, as she took one more step to the staircase.
"Don't want to go? What kind of stupid reason is this. I took great pains to get you in my company as a trainee and you are abusing the role of it? Don't because I am the CEO and you are more daughter means that you can abuse the role. Under my company, my rules," Her father. She scoffed loudly.
"Adopted daughter by the way. Also I have never wanted to be and trainee either," Hee-young said coldly, glaring at them.
"Hee-young, this is not the way to speak to us,"Her mother said, gasping first. Hee-young rolled her eyes before walking.
"Young lady, you better stop where you are these instance," Her father shouted sternly as he stood up and walked up to Hee-young, looking at her angrily, "What kind of attitude is this? You were never like this till you started to attend high school... At the age of 16 you started to talk less till now when you are 18, you are horrible. Better change this attitude of yours."
"As if you care. Like I said, adopted daughter. We are not related by blood. It is just that my own bloody parents don't want me," Hee-young scoffed, not noticing her father slapping her face. She held her cheeks, the burning sting her face.
"You shall attend the training and also you are not allowed to go out with your friends oftenly now. The moment you end school, you are coming back home straight away to study," Her father said, faking that he regret slapping her face
"Don't act as if you never hit me before. Deep down you believe that I should get the slap," Hee-young spat, earning another slap on her face, this time having her father's ring to slap right next the corner of her lip. Hee-young looked up as she send him a hatred facial expression at him before storming away. She slammed the door shut as she leaned against the door.
That stupid trainee. Lee Alice. Coach's pet indeed. She thought. Hee-young took out her phone and looked at Gwinam's contact. She couldn't bear to go back to her old ways. However, the thought of Lee Alice in reporting everything about her to the Coach made her angry. She quickly tap the call button.
"Yes princess," Gwinam softly said.
"Rooftop. The usual, get the others there too. I'll be there soon," Hee-young merely said coldly as she changed out of her uniform and into her hoodie with short pants. Hee-young took her bag and placed a set of her uniform inside before heading out of her room.
"Where do you think you're going," Hee-young's mother questioned.
"Out to a friend's house. Somewhere which is better than yours," Hee-young said as she text Lee Alice to meet her at the rooftop. Her mother sighed as she looked at her face.
"Deep down, you know you deserve that two slapping. You were lucky that he didn't hit you harder," Her mother said lowly. Hee-young rolled her eyes as she tried to consume her anger. Hee-youngwalked out of the house immediately as she walked towards the rooftop.
There she was, Lee Alice. The Coach's pet. Gwinam and Chang-hoon were already there, surrounding her.
"What do you guys want from me," Lee Alice said, seductively. Hee-young scoffed as she rolled her eyes. Lee Alice slowly touch Gwinam's arm but he moves it away from her.
"Lee Alice, how ironic to see you here," Hee-young said as she looked at her, walking closer to her.
"Hee-young, you're here. Help me these crazy men are trying to you know me," Lee Alice said, faking it.
"Fake it till you make it? Bullshit. I ask you were you the one that told them that I was skipping my trainings?" Hee-young asked coldly as she moved her hand away from hers.
"Obviously, you can't be skipping it often. After all, it is a once in a lifetime opportunity," Lee Alice said. A slap was what she received.
"If you didn't tell them about it. I wouldn't have to suffer at home. Why did you have to be here? Why did you tell them? Don't you think I suffered enough already," Hee-young screamed as she kicked her stomach.
"Stop it. I will tell your parents about it," Lee Alice threatens as she held her stomach.
"Tell them my ass. I dare you to tell them," Hee-young said as she kicked her one more time.
"Do you think I don't dare? You are just jealous because your own parents don't treat you as well as mine," Alice said as she slaps her face before adding a kick. Hee-young groaned as the pain was sickening. Gwinam held onto her while Chang-noon glared at Lee Alice.
"What the hell are you doing," Gwinam shouted. Lee Alice got startled by his shouting.
"Sh-she was the one that started it first," Lee Alice said softly. What a bitch. Hee-young quickly stood up and kicked her leg before punching her.
"Two face bitch. I didn't know your parents were fucking fake," Hee-young shouted as she pushed her against the wall and started to punch and kick her.
"I didn't know you are such a fucking pick me bitch," Lee Alice shouted as she pushed you to the wall and started to punch you back. Gwinam quickly yank her away from Hee-young, throwing her to the wall as he instructed Chang-noon to do what was meant to be done. She held her shoulder as it hit kind of hard against the wall which is made out of bricks.
"You ok?" Gwinam asked concern. Hee-young nodded her head as she saw Chang-noon beating her up.
"That's enough," Hee-young said sternly and Chang-noon stopped immediately. "I hope you learnt your lesson. When you do things that are not meant to be done. You know what it going to happen," Hee-young said, lightly slapping her cheeks as she walked away as Gwinam and Chang-noon walked behind she. She walked down the alley as she felt tears welling up in her eyes.
"Hey, what's with that girl and you," Chang-noon asked. Gwinam hit him and went up to Hee-young, stopping her from walking.
"Hey, hey, hey. Calm down," Gwinam said hugging Hee-young as she dug her head in his chest, quietly sobbing, "If you can't take it, let it out. Don't bottle up your feelings."
"They hate me. Everyone hates me. My parents, the trainees, the school," Hee-young cried, "Even if I did it right, they will still hate me."
"Shh, shh, shh. It's ok. They hate you but we don't ye. Shh," Gwinam said, patting her back as he calmed her down.
"That's right. You will always be the princess of our group," Chang-noon said as he softly place his hand on her shoulder.
"I got the drinks," Myung-Hwan said as he rushes to them, holding the plastic bag filled with alcohol, "Question is, where do we go?" Chang-noon shrugged.
"My place," Gwinam said as the four of them walked to Gwinam's apartment. Gwinam's place was simple. Myung-Hwan placed the cans on the table as he place the cigarette box on the table too.
"Let's drink till we get drunk?" Myung-Hwan questioned.
"Drink up," Chang-noon shouted, as he opened a can and drink it.
"You're making a mess," Hee-youg simply said as she opened the can and drank it before throwing a tissue at Chang-noon.
"Yah! No need to be rude," Chang-noon said as he used the tissue to wipe his mouth, "I am still older than you by 3 months."
"That's the thing you are older. However, she is the only girl so you have to let her be," Myung-Hwan said which then started a bicker between the two. Gwinam just sat down there and chuckled.
Time pass by as they continue to drink. Chang-noon and Myung-Hwan were terribly drunk while Hee-young were just laying on the sofa, whispering to herself. Gwinam shook his head as he bridled carried her to his room and place her on his bed, before walking away. As he looked at the two drunk guys, he gave up hope and just threw the empty cans into the bin before going to the sofa, going asleep.
