I have considered a list of persons written on your pages. Names that I didn’t know but made a fog out of my head’s vision. A combination of moments and people that made a crowd inside my head.
I placed Dominic’s name at the peak of the list and I let my hand stroll down the others which I will yet to know and learn to remember.
Earlier, I woke up to another nameless boy standing at the front porch. He claimed to know me and he wore his smugness like a branded suit. His smirk gave me the perilous vibe of un-chivalry behavior.
“Anna Marie,” he outstretched his arms wide as he took some willing steps towards me. But I held out a hand to stop him in his tracks. I took my little red notebook out and I looked back at him.
“Name please?”
A mocking laugh went out of his system. “You’ve got to be kidding me.” He placed a hand on the door frame as he leaned in to me.
“Give me your name or I’ll shut the door right to your face.” I warned him as he tried to take another step towards me.
“There’s no need for violence.” A girl with flaming red hair appeared beside him. She smiled awkwardly at me. “Hi, Anna.”
A spark of memory rattled inside my head. “I know you.” the words came out before I could even stop myself.
In my head, two girls ran across the yard. They were both happy and their hands swung back and forth as they pirouetted out the gates. Just as they disappeared the memory slipped away from my grasp.
“I just don’t know where.” I added and the sparkle in her eyes disappeared with the replacement of an understanding nod.
The boy beside her laughed. “Give her your name or else she’ll shut the door right in front of your face.”
The red head girl narrowed her eyes at him but he already had his focus on me.
“Forgive her for interrupting us.” He said to me as he outstretched his hand. “I’m Scott Orson.”
I let my pen scroll down in search for his name. When I found it, I placed a check mark beside his name and an “x” mark at the end.
“What was that for?” he asked as he tried to peek at my notebook.
“List of people that I know but I don’t remember.” I retorted. “If you want to know what the “x” stands for, it’s for people I don’t really like.”
The red head girl whistled beside him.
“It’s okay. Before I forget,” Scott waved his hand to the girl beside him. “This tagalong here is Heronymous Shagnasty.”
She turned bright red like her hair as she turned to scowl at him.
“Rose,” I said out of the blue as the engines in my head clicked. I turned back to her and she was beaming at me. “Rose Garner.” I said once again and she nodded. Tears started to glitter in her eyes. “You’re my best friend.”
She giggled despite the forming tears in her eyes. “I still am.”
Scott rolled his eyes beside her.”Such a dramatic reunion.”
Rose ignored him and she gave me a tight hug. “I’m glad you remembered me, Anna.”
“Me, too.” I stepped back to give them some room. “Come in, come in.”
Rose step inside first before she turned to look back at Scott. A smirk formed on her sweet delicate lips. “As far as I know demons are not permitted on sacred ground.” She turned back to me with a sugary feigned face. “I am so glad you’ve remembered that too, Anna. It’s really kind of you to invite him in.”
She started inside just as Scott stepped in for retaliation. He laughed placidly as he watched her with predator eyes.
“I hate that girl.”

Mama was happy to see Rose even though she had no idea who Scott was as much as I did. She prepared a delicious chicken breast for us which really made my appetite sore. My petite stomach could not ask for more than an addition of yummy gravy. It was a delicacy made in Mt. Olympus transported down to earth to feed our starving gobs.
And then Dominic arrived.
There was something the way he smiled at me that made it go slow mo. But then sensation over when he stopped on his tracks to look at my other visitors.
“What are you two doing here?” he asked them and I looked at him back to them and back to him.
Rose huffed. “Hello, I’m the best friend.”
“I brought another boat of berries.” Scott added as he held up the pack.
“You know each other?” I asked all of them.
“Yes, very well. Mark Antony and Cleopatra.” Dominic answered for me.
“That was not the name they told me.” I countered as I looked back at the other two.
Dominic said as he eyed the two suspiciously. “Did you two come here together?”
“No.” Scott said. “Yes.” Rose prompted and Scott turned to her with a humongous shock written all over his face.
“You totally like me.” he told her before he faced Dominic. “She’s lying. We didn’t come here together to rummage Egypt, Julius Caesar.”
“Oooh touchy. I didn’t say anything, Scott.” Dominic smirked at him. “So don’t get so defensive.”
“Though I found them together in the front porch.” I inserted and Scott sighed. “Well… I’m guessing they just found each other’s company outside.”
“She followed me here.” Scott told Dominic.
Rose gaped at him. “I followed you here?” she scoffed. “I’m the best friend so I can come here anytime. What are you doing here?”
Scott narrowed his eyes down at her. He pointed at Dominic. “I am his best friend. So it’s my job to make sure his girl is healthy and breathing.”
Rose flinched as she placed a praying hand on her chest. “How thoughtful of you.” she feigned touched. Then she glared up at him. “Git. I would rather be caught snogging with Voldemort than be caught on the same front porch with Scott Orson.”
Scott cringed. “But you already are. And look, we are under the same roof. How romantic.” He taunted her. “I’d flog myself first before she gets to my manly lips.” He told Dominic who looked like he was about to laugh.
“Dominic,” mama came in the living room to give Dom a motherly hug. “I’m so glad you’re here. You’re just in time for dessert.”
Dominic shrugged his shoulders. “Actually I came here for the salad, Mrs. H.”
I raised an eyebrow at him when he turned to me.
“That was the bonus prize. You know why I’m here.”
“Good to know.” I crossed my arms in front of him. “Because I really don’t want to spend my time with people who don’t find me hilarious.”
Scott cleared his throat. “Flirting sessions to be continued later. There’s a plate of desserts waiting to be eaten at this very moment.”
Rose bumped his shoulder blade on purpose as she headed to the dining area. Scott followed her with a scrolled ulterior motive on his forehead. While I stood there feeling the warmth of the room as Dominic’s hand brushed mine. I let go of my strangling breath.
My hand was filled with words my lips were too shy to say. When my hand linked to his, everything that I wanted to say was already said.
I need not know why my mind had to wonder when my heart knows very well to who it’s beating. His blue eyes had told me not to worry. His smile made me feel it’s okay to stay. My heart beat told me that I remember the boy standing just right in front of me—holding me for what it’s worth.
“I’ve read something about us in my diary.” I took it out of the drawer near my father’s piano. I carefully flipped on the pages until I reached the content I was looking for. Dominic reached for it but I backed away.
“This is for my eyes only.” I warned him.
He smirked at me. “You are for my eyes only.”
I blushed but I hid it as I turned my attention back to my diary.
“So what does your diary had to say about us?”
He took a step closer beside me and I suddenly felt dizzy.
“Did…” I started. He raised his eyebrows at me expectantly. “Did something happen between the two of us?”
He snorted. “A lot of things happened to us. Which one?”
I bit my lower lip and I squeezed my eyes shut before letting the words out.
“The one when I lost my virginity with you.” the moment I said the words I regretted it. I opened my eyes only to see him dumbfounded.
“Please say something.” I whispered.
He blinked twice before he regained composure. “Yes.”
“Yes to what?”
“Yes we did it.”
I pressed my hands to my burning face.
“Does anyone care for ice cream?” I heard mama saying in the dining room.
“I’ll get it.” I shouted from the living room.
“Anna,”
“I can’t talk to you right now.” I dashed out of the living room and into the kitchen without meeting his eyes.
I felt betrayed by my own head. From one moment I was having this sweet moment with Dominic and then the next thing I was walking out of the living room to hide my own morality.
I was not even thinking about the ice cream. All the while I was thinking about his eyes. His lips. His smile. Something’s wrong with me. I need to remember him first before I could lose another part of me. Well, that’s if I could stop myself.
Rocky Road and Double Dutch.
I took both ice cream containers out and I held them up for my companions to see.
“What do you folks like? Rocky Road or Double Dutch?”
“Let’s combine the two. I don’t mind.” Scott said and Rose agreed. It seemed that the waves had ebbed between the two of them.
My eyes wandered to Dominic and my heart accelerated some speed. I took a step forward as his eyes followed me.
And then it happened.
I felt my breath ragged as some abnormal earthquake disrupted my body. I looked up to see his worried face.
“Dom,”
The ice cream containers fell with me to the floor.
